what's £3m in euros if true? 4-5m? If you're going to pay approx 40m euros you'd pay 44/45 to get it done so sounds like it's just the structure of the deal that's holding it up, if anything.

seems pointless to say i'll pay a huge amount for something then back out if it's just short. you either want something or you don't. if we get gazumped then fine and it's clear it's about wages as i truly believe (funnily enough outside of ajax) that we're the best option in europe for a young player looking to progress at the moment.

if he's got as far as speaking to poch then that's enough for me to suggest this will happen. If he was all about the money it wouldn't have even have got that far.

I suspect Ajax are looking for nearer £35m with £5m add-ons. I don't recall any transfer where add-ons made up nearly 50% of the initial fee.

It seems a lot of big clubs have tried this summer already and he simply wasn't interested. It may be a rare case where the player has his heart set on Tottenham.

All I could find is dodgy websites that quote De Telegraaf, and they've been reporting on the Chelsea/Madrid 'interest' for a few days now. I personally wouldn't look into it too much.

If you know the right people to follow twitter is very useful yes there's a lot of morons and wums on there like our friend Amy! Hi Amy by the way! But all reputable journos break all news on there first! It's the same with general media you fubd stuff out that media just dobt care about just have to look past the shit!
