442 with Trips and Verts FBs
Son left and Sissoko right. Winks and Dembele in the middle. Eriksen and Kane close together.

We win.

This is the biggest problem for me. There is no one even attempting to link the defense and the attack. If Winks is capable of 45 minutes he has to come on.
CM is our weakest area of the team by far.

Dembele is not the player he was, and with Wanyama injured I think Winks is the only capable player there. I'm surprised at our relaxed attitude towards it in the transfer window. We should bring back Onomah at least and see if he can be good enough.

We have to have good all round midfielders who can release the ball quickly and we don't have that at the moment.

If Kane is the least fit of the team, get him off, how hard is that. Son can do just fine compared to a crocked Kane..

Alli no matter how bad will still come out with the goods unless he's unfit too.

We were dreadful there. Sissoko has been our best player. Back line is all over the place, as has the front 3. We just dont look up for it which is unacceptable for a NLD

It's not often I have a good moan at MoPo.
But everyone on this thread saw the imminent conceding of a goal - wrong free kick or not.
MoPo missed an opportunity to change things when the tide was so firmly against us.
That's on him as was the starting line up.
I forgive him.
Yup - Bad day at the office that has frankly ruined my next 7 days.

Being out fought by fucking Arsenal. There's no indication here that we can get back into this given the difference in energy levels and dedication between the sides. We haven't done a thing in the final third and our players aren't pressing like they mean. Going through the motions for the most part. Kane looks off his best. Eriksen anonymous. Sissoko running but his touch is so poor things just slow down or break down when they go through him. Maybe winks on for some speedy passing.

It's also apparent to me that the players don't believe we can win the league this year because of the dominance of City, I don't think it's any shock our best performances have been in the CL so far.

Might as well continue with Eriksen and Alli in a midfield three. Sissoko has no composure and it looks like he only has chemistry with Aurier.
Would go:

Winks
Alli------Eriksen
Son---Kane
for the second half. Dembele and Sissoko off.

That was pretty much the perfect shitstorm, a spurs team that was poorly set up, badly organised, lethargic pressing, no midfield, clumsy in possession, verses an Arsenal playing better than at any time this season and some poor decisions.

Getting outthought is bad enough, getting out fought by this fucking lot is unacceptable and not what we've been about, especially against Arsenal, for a while.

That was the worst 45 minutes we've played for a while. The only player to come out of that half with any credit at all was Sanchez, who's superb defending was poorly penalised leading to the first goal. Everyone else, without exception has been very poor.

Thats nonsense. You dont have time to pick passes from the back with 4 players pressing against 4. Especially when you are a nervous wreck.

Its correct to go long, but you have to make it stick.

Go long from Lloris straight away, rather than a panicked punt from a defender. If they want a 5 on 5 you have to make it count, but we arent playing well. We still created openings because there is space there
Not sure what that's got to do with what I said but ok...

Everything Sissoko has done well in this match has been wide right, he has offered nothing but a poor touch and kick to nearest player in CM.

You don't see how Winks would change that?

Completely agree and said the same on deadline day when it became clear they neither Barkley nor Gomes were coming. If we don't address it in January it will be outright negligence.
