Lamela is man of the match. And I have to mention Kane aswell. I'm not saying that he was awesome, but the difference between Kane and other players is that even when Kane is mediocre or bad. he do some things that are good. That's more what you can say about players like Eriksen and Alli the last couple of games (in the league).

A disgrace? Really?

Ok. Goodnight.

A disgrace is strong, but the constant miscontrols and misplaced passes are becoming a total pain in the bollocks. I love the guy more than some members of my family; but I don’t think it can be argued that he hasn’t been shit the past few games.

The problem is our team has looked extremely tired ever since coming back from the international break. Eriksen and Dier especially. We've had 2 games a week, all high-tempo, and 2 games a week all the way up to the City game. Looks like the only break the team will get is for the Nicosia match. Pochettino's training sessions are renowned for being brutal. Poch needs to ease up on them and let them recover or the team will just collapse.

I can't fault the effort of the players, especially the likes of Sanchez, but they are completely gassed out. Hardly any wonder they can barely pass or shoot.

You make sense but I just can't except that as an excuse, it's the start of the season pretty much! We should have put chances away tonight, hate blaming being tired. We have been renowned for our fitness and work rate, it's only fucking November...

Lloris; 5. Need more from your captain.

Aurier; 5. Meh. Rash tackles, inaccurate crossing.

Dier; 4. Asleep for Vardy's goal.

Sanchez; 4. Asleep for Vardy's goal.

Vertonghen; 4. Showed Mahrez inside for his goal, just like he did two seasons ago.

Rose; 5. Should've had a penalty. Can't cross.

Dembele; 5. Not his controlling self recently.

Sissoko; 3. Absolutely terrible when not on the counter. Missed a good chance.

Eriksen; 3. Poor. Missed a sitter.

Dele; 5. Pretty poor. Missed a good chance.

Kane; 7. A good finish and some beautiful passes, but wasteful with his shooting.

Son; 6. Didn't do much.

Llorente; 0. Leave.

LAMELAAAAAAAAA; 10. God.

I don't get the Aurier hate. I thought he provided much better quality than Rose on the other side. He started poorly but got better as the match progressed.

Yeah okay, his been playing well and everything is great, fans like you are the reason we haven't won a major trophy in years, take too much shit. Love Eriksen, but the last month his been terrible, and hasn't got stuck in at all and deserves to be dropped, no player is assured of a starting place, otherwise complacency creeps in.

You have no idea what kind of a supporter am, but the fact that you go out and call a player who has been amongst our very best for a few years 'a disgrace' tells me everything I need to know about you. Jog on young man.

We have a thin squad and we simply can’t handle missing Wanyama and Toby for nearly the entire season. Get our injured players back up to speed and this place will feel very different.

Yep sadly he's been awful the last few games. He's basically let each game pass him by. Wouldn't call him a disgrace tho

I am not arguing against him having poor spell. Note my own post above on ratings.... But coming out like a spoiled child and calling one of our key players a disgrace is off the mark and quite frankly embarrassing. He's not been at his best but he's better than any other option at our disposal I am afraid, and it's not him just him. The team is somehow off balance...

There's always a tendency when we lose for people to go "THEY'RE ALL SHIIIIIIIIT! GET EM ALL OUT!" etc. The first half was clearly not good enough, but we had them pegged back in their own area for most of the game, created a lot of good chances and were unlucky that they scored two brilliant goals with practically their own chances of the game and that we had a strong penalty claim turned down.

Did we deserve to win? No I don't think so, and we really should be beating teams like Leicester. But this wasn't as bad as people are making out. What's funny is that if Llorente had scored that absolute sitter then half of you slagging the players off for not giving enough would be praising them for a wonderful fightback and claiming that you "always felt we had it in us".

Sadly, Alli and Dier are quite simply not justifying their places in the starting XI right now. Eriksen has been poor for a while too but until Lamela (who I thought was excellent in the central role) is fit enough to be starting games then he has to keep playing.

Here goes home truth time no favourites or scape goats

Lloris 5 - should have done better for the first for me at least tried to back pedal

Aurier 6 - getting there....going forward but god doesn’t he half just abandon his right hand side at times

Sanchez 5 - not his best for us lost vardy and times didn’t know how to deal with his pace or where vardy was looked rattled

Vertonghen 5 - since Toby has been out he’s looked like a lost school girl....mahrez is known for having a wand of a left foot showing him onto it and inside you for me is criminal

Dier 4 - he’s not a centre half and he’s on a mission to prove it! His passing was awful would love to see the stats of his ball retention

Rose 4 - final ball was awful....and his constant moaning and arguing with team mates got on my tits

Sissoko 4 - he tries he really does try but when you need technical ability and a fighter he’s not your man he’s only ever going to be effective for us in the games where we neee to counter sadly

Eriksen -10 - I’m sorry but that was a shower of shit from him everything he done was dreadful deserves to be benched his last two games! Looks as if he’s on a mission to risk getting injured or hurt or waste any energy to ensure he plays for Denmark at the World Cup dreadful disgusted with his attitude

Alli 5 - it’s not working for him but at least he gave 100% he chased and harried the second half and tried to make things happen

Kane 7 - basically he can’t do it all on his own I feel for him

Lamela 7 - on the pitch for 20 mins max h created 4 chances and had one assist which basically makes eriksens last 2-3 performances look even worse!!

Mate, a half fit Lamela showed him up tonight. Not because Eriksen has been good for us in the past, gives him a pass from being called out. He has been crap

If Poch is running them into the ground I don't think it matters what part of the season it is, the players are going to be affected. If you're already tired and Poch orders double sessions, you're compounding the problem.

I've not watched them train so it's only a guess but considering they look more and more tired with each game I really wouldn't be surprised.

Lloris - 5 - nothing to do

Sanchez/Verts - both played a part in either goal. Sanchez loses Vardy, Verts shows Mahrez onto his one foot. 6

Dier - 4 - really dross when he moved to CM. For a big lad, he loses a lot of 50/50s in dangerous areas. Ponderous passing.

Aurier - 4 - poor mans Trippier

Rose - 4 - poor mans Davies

Dembele - 5 - it’s almost sad watching him out there when teams are coming at us. Has lost half a yard and games are bypassing him.

Sissoko - 4 - average performance. Misplaced passes, overhit passes, underhit passes, lazy tracking, missed sitter. Please tell me his days are numbered.

Eriksen - 4 - very poor. Missed a sitter. Couldn’t control the ball. Needs a rest.

Alli - 3 - thought he was atrocious in possession. Genuinely lost count of the amount of times he lost the ball or made the wrong decisions. If he was French, commentators would slaughter him.

Kane - 6 - incredibly selfish today but who can blame him? Would you pass to Alli, Sissoko or Eriksen when you know they’ll bumble the fuck out of it. He’s off his game but still scores. Class act.

Lamela - 8 - added a much needed bit of vim and vigour to us, simply by showing for the ball and playing a few give and go’s. Tempo can be injected simply by a few crisp passes. The weight of his passing was on point, which is so often forgotten in football.

Son - 7 - lively. Has to start all games.

Llorente - 3 - like all of the worst parts of Soldado, Janssen and Adebayor, rolled in to one geriatric Spanish pancake

Need to start games quicker
Need to start games with a bit more smash mouth intensity
Need Wanyama back
Need Alli and Eriksen to be rested
Need Winks fit
Need to never play Dier CM ever again
Need to play Davies and Trippier more than Aurier/Rose
Need to send Sissoko to Coventry

Mate, Lamela has been out for a year. And as such he has been the only option. Ffs read my other posts in this thread. Not saying he's been good but he is what we have to make things tick. Even when off the pace. So yes. Great that Lamela now (soon) gives us another option.

I just think its variance, we have been superb the last few years. We are sure to hit a bad run.
