Maybe our Champions league results have made us more attractive to palyers who wouldnt have looked at us last window?

Maybe. But if we don’t get CL secured for next season then it’s just pointless.

Maybe poch has just had doubts about his injury and wether he would be able to deal with his training regime. I would of liked Barkley to come in myself. But we don't know if Edwards or any youngsters might be be in poch's thinking. Im hoping we have passed on Barkley and put money up for sessegnon or and pulisic myself

We really really need a forward thinking centre mid. Too many safe sideways players. Dembele is the best but is never 100% fit and can’t make quick decisive passes..

Ideas?
Andre Gomes?

If we weren't convinced on his fitness then i understand why we wanted to wait. We already have an injury ravaged mid, don't need to add to it.

Perhaps there's a chance Poch is convinced by Sissoko now and wants to keep him ( ) and we're looking at other areas of the pitch. Or I'm just wrong entirely, which is much more likely

I bet this is wages. His agent will have pushed hard, Chelsea would have made a good offer, way over £100k/week. Based on his injury record I suspect we didn’t want to risk it. Expect a cheaper alternative in the summer..

If I were Barkley and I'd pulled out of a move to Chelsea in the summer, because we told him we wanted him, I'd be really really angry at us for the way we've strung him along. If he does now go to Chelsea, he will bust a gut every time he faces us, just to stick it up us and prove a point.

Well fucking diddums. He's a grown man, he'll get over it.

Are we even sure RB wanted to come to Spurs (or vice versa)?

Seems more likely that in the summer when it became clear he wasn't going to play for the first half of the season, that he sat down with Chelsea, turned them down (saving them £20m in the process) knowing that he could sign for them in Jan with a much higher sign-on /wage.

Think Spurs interest was only for him to get a better deal and we were never in the running.

Maybe or maybe not - all depends on which way YOU look at it I guess! ;)

15mil is hardly a gamble.considering the shite we had to endure in the centre of the park last night seems a no brainer to me.waiting till the summer or targets not available is the same old same old from spurs.yet anothet poor decision that i think we will regret.sign barkley and get rid of the waste of space sissoko
