Alli needs to up his games with his contributions going forward. Far too wasteful.
Kane and son need the ammunition. Dier cant function and dembele is getting swarmed buy actually fairing quite well.

Id look for dele and eriksen to drop in and take dier off for lamela.

And ffs lets try do something when we are in and around there box.

We can still get something if we just get it together.
God know what we will be like at juve in the cl

They’re swarming around the middle of the park and giving us no space to take a touch.

To be fair it’s working well for them and shows why they do well against decent opposition like City and ourselves.

Expect them to tire in 2nd half and the game to stretch out a bit, we just can’t afford to let them get a second.

Hasnt looked quite at the races last couple of games, IE this one and United. I love he likes to shoot and I know Strikers are a selfish breed, but just sometimes he needs to look up. Could mean the difference between 0 and some points.
I'm glad someone has said this.

Dawson, bentaleb, Walker and now Dier . Nothing changes and Poch doesn't learn at all. Im bored by his tactics away from home against the big teams.. Predictable and suicidal.
I hope Perez at Real Madrid watches this actually, because it shows that Poch, like the players, still have some learning to do. Poch needs to be more adaptable in games and the players have displayed over and over this season that mentality is an issue. We should be just as good at the dippers in the game and our possession speaks volumes, but much like we are arrogant against the smaller teams, against the top six away from home we turn up nervous and lacking confidence.

It's very frustrating because these players can blow anyone away.

For all those creaming off of us controlling the game I think it's fair to say pool have dropped off since we lost control of the game 2 minutes in.

We score and how long do you think before they are gifted with a peach of a self inflicted chance once they over run us again

But we are not playing break football.
That's not to say we should deploy him higher up.

Unfortunately due to the cumbersome duo in midfield we really don't know whether to stick or twist when making attacking forays - scared to commit to any great degree in fear of being ravaged on the counter and leaving our defence exposed.

I wish Lucas was on the bench for this one. You'd just drop Dier for Wanyama and Moose for Lucas and match their 4-3-3. I'd like our odds in that scenario. We have more talent on the field then they do.

Easy to knee jerk in moments like this, but I would like to see Dier out of the side for some time and letting Wanyama be part of the midfield 2 alongside Dembele/Winks..

We got suckered by the Man U result. We can’t just waltz out the same team expecting the same results against these teams.

No defensive midfielder against Liverpool when we are already 1-0 down so can't play on the counter? I think that would be madness.
Dembele and dier for winks and wanyama then.

We need to spring the ball forward quicker and dier has been passenger

Right now, I'm wishing I hadn't got the NowTV day pass and had just tried to stream.

I still can't believe he's rated highly by so many on here, especially as a midfielder. Maybe it's because he's English and has a good personality, I don't know.

Last week was the only decent game he's had there all season for us.

Not quite right. He's had about 3 good games this season :meh:. He's not a midfielder though and for a lot of the season has played like the game is beneath him. I think that bid from Mourinho has messed with his head :banghead:.
