He has been a revelation this season. I remember in preseason many were writing him off and thinking he was going to be another transfer bust as he was bought for a specific formation as RWB and we were going 4 at back. The role Ange has for him is actually perfect for his attributes.

Brilliant? His delivery on set pieces was absolutely awful, and he gave the ball away sloppily numerous times in defence. I think he ls great but tonight definitely wasn’t one of his better games… but players with that sort of quality can affect a game even when they aren’t playing well
We had a feeling watching the game that he would make the opportunity to score and he did. He seems to have the killer instinct going forward missing from some of the others.

I was one of those really worried about him defensively but he’s improved immeasurably. Going forward he’s incredible.

Lad is fully COYS. Incredible goal which has been coming all season. Hopefully he can keep banging those in

He's really top end technically but his attitude is absolutely elite, the way he gets the fans going, how he is with teammates and his tenacity is infectious. Celebrates a block like a goal. You want your defensive unit to be like a mini-team in itself and he definitely helps create that ethos.

Some comments from Ali Gold's latest:

Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario's face and hand-waggling to the goal in the aftermath showed his awe at the other end of the pitch and others were delighted for Porro, even if he played down the goal.

"I think it was luck. I am very happy for the team and my first goal of the season," the right-back said in his interview after the game.

Brennan Johnson countered: "There was no luck about that. It was an unbelievable strike. He shoots a lot in training and misses a lot but it came off."

"He's like a bulldog," added Dejan Kulusevski. "He's doing a lot for the team. He's stepping up when we need him, he's been playing amazingly this whole season and he's a great guy. Always bringing energy and always having fun.

"He's always shooting the ball, which is very important in football because that's how you score and he showed that today."

Johnson said: "Everyone is buzzing for Pedro. When games like that are quite tough and maybe we weren't making the right decisions at the right time, sometimes it just takes a bit of quality.

More:
Postecoglou has already built up a strong affection for Porro, who has played almost every Premier League minute for him since sitting out the first game of the season.

"I think credit to him. I love Pedro because from the day I arrived he's got so much passion and energy and enthusiasm for the game," said the Australian. "He's worked really, really hard on the defensive side of his game. Obviously it's a different kind of role. He's used to playing as a wing-back and he's got a lot more defensive responsibility but we always knew he had the attacking qualities.

"He's shown that not just tonight. During the season he's been a really big part of the creative part of our game. He's probably just missed a few goals this season, he's hit the post a couple of times and been unlucky. Really pleased for him and credit to him because he's worked really hard on his game and continues to do so. He's still a young man. He's been outstanding for us."

Porro is up there in the conversation for Spurs' best player of the season so far and long may it continue as the Postecoglou system evolves around him.

If all our players had stayed fit, we’d have about 8 or 9 players in contention for POTS.

There aren’t many better RB’s than Porro.
Or goalies than Vicario
Or LB’s than Udoghie
Or CB’s than Romero and VDV
Or midfielders than Maddison and Bentancur
Or forwards than Son

And young player of the season too include Udoghie and Sarr.

Future’s bright….

Been amazing this season, especially since pretty much no one believed he’d be suitable for the role he’s playing. Great attitude

joint with Vicario for my player of the season so far. Guy came in got loads of stick including from sherwood and replied with a all timer "Let me loose in a prison and I’ll end up owning the place." He really is him.
Porro's been good, but come on, Son has been way better. It's clearly he and Vic for player of the season.

Would say that Porro would have been behind Madders and Micky if they stayed fit too. I also think Udogie's been better overall

I guess peoples player of the season can mean more than just performances. Porro has done some sublime passes, has a great attitude and always keeps going. For me he’s the most improved player of the season so far.

I think its hard to pick a standout so far, it’s been the whole team stepping up, especially with the massive injury list.
