Shamar Joseph.
Remember that name.
This kid is very good and very sharp.
This game is in the balance right now.
Need 45 to win with 7 down.
Well done Windies

I cannot say enough about this lad.
He got what should have been a broken toe from Mitchell Starc the night before.
Came on to the ground late, bowled his heart out and won the game for them.
What a performance for the Windies.

It transpires the ‘experts’ were wrong and Englands selectors and Stokes might have been correct in selecting and backing the young lad

who'd have thought there's value in giving a debutant, in away conditions, more than one spell before judgement is made on him.

Stokes persevering with him in that first spell has done his confidence wonders. too often he'd have been pulled and barely seen again.

Would love to see England win this one.
Can't stand the Indians and their smugness at home.
And their demands away from home!

Was just goig to say something similar, regardless of the result that backing has given him confidence for the rest of the serious and might stop India’s batsmen trying to hit out the park again.

apologies bud, there was no need for the 'cry-baby' bit.
Wasn't there? 😉

Fair play to JR Hartley, looks like he's more than just an author of a fly fishing book. Needs to keep his consistency though. Popes innings was literally massive!

In here? Some people will never learn :)

It's an obvious thing to say but it needs saying............Cricket isn't football and if you leave the Spurs match thread mentality at the door you'd be winning :D

Hartley has done very well indeed to come back from the savaging he too in his early overs but in the same way one shouldn't be too harsh and judgemental, equally, we shouldn't go overboard. It's a very good first test match for him overall and something for him to build on. But clearly the talent is there, let's hope he takes that on.

Dangerous partnership this one if it gets going. Get Jadeja and England will be proper favourites.
