I would argue that we shouldn't be shitting on our own players because of one bad game then decide we'd rather play someone who isn't a fucking RB in his position.

Honestly what is wrong with giving credit to a player who gets called out after any bad game or moment? This is what pisses me off with some of you lot.

To be honest we've been shitting on him for a while now. Which top 6 team or squad would he get into?

This is fair.

There's criticism and then there's hyperbole.
I myself criticised some aspects but I always try to do it in a fair manner.

You do too, to be fair.

But I am sick of seeing posts where we concede and people immediately reach for a phrase that states we have been "horrific" or "pathetic " or attack players.

Firstly it's almost always never that bad.

Secondly, some people can't watch the game so use the match day thread to see how we are playing and get the impression that we are "horrific".

And I just don't think that's fair for a team and coach who are going through a process and its still very very early.

Still annoyed we didn't get the pen for the blatant foul on werner. Especially when you see what some of our rivals get pens for

It's actually a real downer if you know what I mean. People post their bile and spite (and it's usually the same idiots week in, week out) without consideration or care and defend it with how they are 'entitled to their opinion'. Which they are but people are also entitled to not have that inflicted on them.

We're all here for the one thing, to watch and hopefully enjoy the game and the banter between you all and all of that just drags the thread down and at a time when a lot of people are cheesed off with real life problems and issues, this thread doesn't need to needlessly add to it. It's a shame that people can't stop and think about using this thread, consider and then criticise in a more measured way.

This thread can be a proper khazi at times :(

Brighton, Brentford and Palace.

All went behind and had to suffer for large chunks.

But each game we were able to step into another gear and get the win

At this stage of progress, this is a fantastic sign.

Players are not letting it beat them and are fighting till the end.

When we get better at other aspects we will be much much harder to play against

One things which is becoming very clear is that we are not making the most of the ball over the top. Lost count of the amount of times a player made a run in behind and it was ignored. Got to play more than one way to win games against teams that just come to nick a goal.

This is what I mean!

I was reading the posts after the Eze goal and it started to actually change my opinion and I could feel myself getting wound up. It changed my mood. I had to take a moment to calm my thoughts down again.

I am not saying it needs to be all sunshine and positivity but a little restraint at times.

We all get pissed off when we concede but the need to use hyperbole and act as if its the end of the season doesn't help anyone at all.

Even if it's just to create doubt for the oppo CBs. Do it a couple of times early on and they are going to worry about squeezing too hard. Doesn't even have to come off, just signal that it's something we're willing to do.

Villa have a double header against Ajax now. Hopefully that benefits us.

Also, if United lose to City, that's a really hammer blow to them

Much better second half. Controlled the game and created plenty. Werner miss aside waa excellent. He kept actually beating his man. Johnson did well when he came on.

In some ways better than recent matches but still far too many passes to opponents . Delighted with the result but lots of room for improvement.

When we play for more than 30 mins in a game we will be a hell of a side. Performances like this actually make me more excited about what’s to come, so much growth but still picking up points is a hell of a place to be
