I'd have more respect for Southgate if he brought on two attacking players instead of two defenders and we over committed and lost the game. At least we would have learned a bit more about certain players and the team as a whole.

It’s not some random German bloke, he’s lived in England for 8 years and managed a bunch of the English players
Thanks, I’m aware of that.

Doesn’t change my view a German would be unlikely to manage us given our rivalry.

I really wonder what happens to Rodrygo next season at RM when Endeick and Mbappe go there. He’s always looked slightly uncomfortable on the right. You can tell it’s not his natural position.

No doubt Mainoo will be a brilliant talent but the fact Southgate et al have fast tracked him into the England team whilst completely ignoring Loftus-Cheek speaks volumes about how clueless the squad selections are.

This game also shows just how much we rely on Kane, we've been absolutely nothing up front.
