He can’t finish to save his life but I thought he showed good work rate and persistence.

He was a threat down the left and tried to make things happen all game, eventually played a part in both goals.

Agree but still only Hojbjerg is really trying to release him early with balls over the top. I particularly wish Udogie would give him more passes to run on to.

I think for his output and quality and for the buy clause this is a no brainer. Something totally different, true pace and work rate.

He has his uses but he isn't good enough to start and we have Manor Soloman (not 100% convinced he's actually real) who can be back up left winger. 15m and over 100k a week can go towards a top LW or a striker which means we can put Son as a starting LW. The loan has been a success but we need to focus on a couple of players who can improve the first team and have our existing players as backups

We have to get away from using either Son LW or Deki RW. They simply don’t suit the winger role in this system.

Son should be a striker option and Deki a midfield option and that’s it.

Our system works much more effectively when we have pace and explosiveness out wide with players who are comfortable out there.

If we really want Werner then we have to sell Solomon and go and get a top quality LW option that Werner rotates with. If we can’t afford that then we shouldn’t sign Werner. We need to also find a RW to compete with Johnson.

Soloman hasn't done anything to deserve that spot. Not his own fault but it's the reality.

Still not convinced we wouldn’t be looking for an upgrade within six months if we signed him.

Puts the shift in and is showing more signs of making things happen In the final third…don’t know, tough one.

if he was homegrown then that would make it a yes from me, but given our squad make up we just need to be careful

Football is simple. Players like Werner and who can finish are worth £100 million plus and they play for domestic and European title challenging teams. Their managers get credit for it and people make a living writing about what makes that manager so great. If Werner could finish he'd be Salah and Ange could be the next Klopp. But he can't and unless we get a couple of players who can have the impact of a Salah, then Ange will never be considered a great manager and people will write worthless articles, complete with fancy diagrams, explaining his tactical short falls.

Definitely good enough for us just now. He looks dangerous most times he gets the ball, and has more up front than any of the others. Would have him and Johnson as our wide two.

Anybody know what sort of wages he's on/would be looking for? I keep seeing references to the £15m fee (which I think in isolation would be decent VFM) but that's only half the story...

Unless ITK has some sort of info there’s no way of us knowing.

We’re losing Dier and Perisic so hopefully part of that will cover his salary.

No idea how reliable these things are but did a search for RB Leipzig wages and these are both saying around £165k a week.

I suspect we were probably paying Perisic that sort of money so it wouldn't necessarily increase our wage bill but that's still big bucks.

That’s the salary he’s on. But how much he’d ask for to join us is anyone’s guess.

His pace and ball carrying is such a threat and opens up so much space.

Should be first name on teamsheet at LW at the moment.

I still think signing him for £15mil is a no brainer.

We would still need to imo sign a top class striker and RW this summer then going into next season our options would be:

ST:
New ST
Richy
Veliz

RW:
New RW
Johnson
(Kulu if/when needed but he would move to cover 8/10 mostly)

LW:
Son
Werner
Solomon

Or we sell Solomon and sign a RW & LW and Richy & Sonny become our ST options next season.

On the other hand on two occasions he opted to shoot, missed one and hit one into a defender when on both occasions had a far better option to pass to a colleague for a almost certain goal.
I'm not saying don't buy him but I'm certainly not convinced yet.

Do you think we'll keep Richarlison? I'm not sure we will.

Good Q mate not 💯 sure on that one, selling him for a decent chunk would free up some budget to help sign 2-3 attacking players who better suit Ange’s system that’s for sure, personally I think we will keep him but would be interesting if we sold him, what our plan would be in terms of replacing him.
