I hate to say this. But they deserve to win the league. I don’t want them to but I think they will and they deserve to.

I don't disagree. So, I hope we pull a special performance out of our arse this weekend like Everton did and smash them.

I get it I certainly don't what to give them kudos or anything but through gritted teeth I have to say they have been the best team in the league in terms of the football and consistency. I want nothing better than to absolutely do them and them fall apart but this year feels different for them with Man C being predictable and Liverpool doing weird stuff.
You’re not persuading me. This deserved thing is bollox.

Besides, it’s not in my genes to spent my time on the internet praising them. But each to their own

Maximum points Arsenal can have by the end of the season is 89. The maximum City could have is 91. There is still so so much to play for, for both teams. Nothing is written in stone.

Ah I see some still refuse to give them any credit whatsoever.

They have consistently played some of the best stuff, scored the most goals and have one of the best defences. If they win it we can't argue it as they will have thoroughly deserved it.
Oh how little credit you give me, in my spurs supporting life I have argued (with a straight face and varying levels of success):
David Bentley will be as good as Beckham
Tim Sherwood is a proper manager and absolutely not a know nothing cockwomble
This is our year and we will challenge/win the league (EVERY year without fail since 1992)
Gareth Bale is the greatest player I have ever seen.
Gareth Bale is overrated and nowhere near worth a world record transfer fee
Gareth Bale is still one of the best in the world and neither too old nor more obsessed with golf

The list goes on and on, my point is I can ABSOLUTELY argue they don't deserve it if they win the league.....

Then you're just biased. If you can't see that they currently have the best attack and best defence with the best GD and so if they win the league they absolutely do begrudgingly deserve it.

I get we're meant to hate them and it's funny when they fail blah blah blah, but it won't kill you to admit they've been decent throughout the course of this season will it?

It's hard to have an adult discussion about them with some of you on here. Credit where it's due. They've done better than last season which I didn't expect.

lol hardly. Just making one observation. Chill out. What anyone says won’t change the outcome.

I mean, if (big if) you win over 38 games it's hard to argue with.

But they have been extremely lucky with injuries and very fortunate in key games against big 6 opponents this season.

City (H) - Heavily deflected goal to win it.
United (H) - Deflected goal to win it, just a few min after United's winner was ruled offside by the smallest of margins.
Spurs (H) - Their two goals came from a freak own goal and a handball penalty.
Liverpool (H) - Alisson and VVD combining for a ridiculous error and Martinelli scores the winner in an empty net.
Chelsea (A)- 2-0 down in the 77 min when the Chelsea keeper passes it to Rice who scores in an empty net.

In terms of the individual match incidents for me its a bit of a reach and speaks more to the amount of pressure/how much time arsenal spend in and around the opponents box looking dangerous/pressing high. The "luck" is a result of that. Own goals of that nature i also dont personally consider lucky - you get own goals like that because you've forced defenders to deal with something facing the wrong way in proximity of their goal - exactly what we do with these low balls across the box from the wings, increasing chance of an own goal by design.

Injuries wise however i would say they've got off easy vs the rest, Timbers been out for the year and Jesus has had long spells out but the former is unknown and the latter is unconvincing as the primary forward, and him being injured has almost worked out in their favour.

It's all starting to feel a bit like they are going to win it. And if i'm being honest, has done for a while now. If they are going to implode, fuck me they are leaving it late.

City don't have that 'feel' about them, I can't help but think there's a fuck up around the corner.

And the worst of it is, we have to play City, can you imagine beating them and handing the scum the title?

There are many ways this can still play out and all we can do is watch it unfold and hope we beat the scum.

God I hope i'm wrong, come on City.

We should throw our game against City. I’m fine with not getting CL and it looks unlikely anyway at this point.
Let's focus on beating Arsenal this weekend and see what position that leaves - both for our fight for 4th and City's advantage in the title race - before we talk about throwing games.

Bias? On a specific club's forum? How dare you.

Let’s be grown up about this, who cares if they deserve it or not? As long as no one says congratulations or gives them any credit that’s all that matters.

If it’s on Spurs to win Arsenal the league we should put out under 6s team out.

Been 20 years and they still go on about winning the league at the lane, how bad would it be if they go on about how we won them the league there

I’m just looking forward to the NLD, I’ll be there well ahead of kick off on Sunday and the atmosphere will be up there. With all fan bases there’s an array of opinions as well as fearing the worse and totally get that as collectively we’ve been tormented with Spurs.

However, Woolwich are where they should be to be fair after having Arteta there for approaching 4 years 6 months. Just my opinion but they’ve been on the whole consistent and have a team thats clicking.

Very reminiscent of that Poch team in 2016/17 where we finished runners up: 26 wins — 8 draws — 4 defeats - goals scored: 86 - goals against: 26 (GD +60) with 86 points.

It’s a hard one to take but they’ve progressed in the league: 8th, 8th, 5th, 2nd. Don’t like that trajectory at all! What makes it more frustrating is that’s what we were under Poch before the self inflicted transfer embargo and a variety of things (which have been discussed in depth on here and elsewhere for years) became stale and not half set it. But all that is done could’ve, would’ve & should've etc.

Hopefully we can get back to that under Ange in the long run. Yes, totally accept we are clearly underdogs at present and that’s what will make it sweeter by picking up the three points with a manager who is in his first season of a rebuild but also all the other stuff that comes with that: the ethos root & branch in the club, mentality, fitness and a playing style that eventually players will not even have to think about.

My hatred for Woolwich by far exceeds any other club, however, they have shown they’ve kept up the pace and must admit the scum have been annoyingly good. However, we can be annoying and spoil their momentum. Anyways sorry for the speech COYS!
