I'm quite happy with the window as a whole, and also happy we haven't gone for more stop-gap signings who we'll struggle to shift down the line.
In other words as long as AC is happy, that works for me.
The squad we have compared to last season has improved and is now all about gelling together...
Good.. on the proviso the options for TN & GLC are taken up. Think the Juve guys will do well and probably beneficial they can help each other settle. Set up well for the summer after we get top 4
Not sure whether this has been mentioned, but Poch in press conference said CE training alone as he's had a small procedure done? So doesn't seem to be anything negative (or at least doesn't come across that way)
Likely way off here but just having fun and trying something different...
Ain't we a pair and annoyed, he tossed it (poker)
Mad Max quote
Max Kruse (also a known poker player)
Edit: scratch that - didn't think he was over 30!
So if he goes we would need a replacement. Maybe a player from Real themselves to keep fees down and save face on both sides?
Somebody that knows the PL, great at set pieces and gives us a true attacking option.
As a bonus, someone who could cover pretty much all attacking options when needed...
If there was any way to make this happen I would throw everything behind it - would be happy if this was our only signing. Little resale value but would it matter if it got us the title? Join the COB.. don't be a NOB
After checking Mr Gomes out he appears to be very Dembele-like but knows how to pass forward quickly too.. something I don't feel we've had sInce Modric, or maybe Eriksen on a good day. If that's the case maybe pace isn't as important?
Was about to say this (about N'Koudou anyway!) - if it means he gets some game time would be more than happy - there's more to come from him given the chance
Given my weakness for under-performing strikers (still miss ya Bobby ) I'll be going with Vinny J. If he happens to be on his way then it will have to be GKN, as if he is given a chance I'm sure I'll have to come to his defence at some point..
Reading the replies of Rose possibly going and not having adequate LB cover it seems our movements so far regarding Sanchez and Foyth means it likely a permanent move to a back 3? In that case surely not so much of an issue (as we also have Dier, Davies being able to offer cover?)
Can I have Vinny J as I'm sure he'll start getting his fair share of stick if he doesn't hit the ground running? Farewell to Alex P from last year - all the best lad..
IF Poch wants him, so be it. Can't see the problem. I for one will be more than happy if he turns out to be a major player for us, and can't see any reason why he won't? He gives us some good squad depth as well
My "adopted son" ending up at a Pulis side? say it ain't so..
I suppose it's premiership experience - would probably have preferred to see what he could do coming off the bench - oh well..
The main thing I get from this is how positive it looks to the younger players at the club, and the potential for other youngsters to see us as a viable option when they see the way everything is improving throughout the whole set - up. Not just the training ground but a place where the staff...
