Deserves to be above Sanchez in the pecking order imo

Hasn't Conte also said that he sees Rodon as playing in the same position in defence as Dier, and that's why he hasn't been playing. If he doesn't see him as a ball playing centre back on the left or right, he will have to make do with being a back up in Conte's eyes

He might have a good point too, Roden is pretty tidy on the ball so might be ideal for that central role. He's probably the next best in that role after Dier and would make sense why he played that position in Europe. I would have Tanganga as the right sided choice in the absence of Romero but a backup to the left side. Sanchez is a bit more like Romero in that he comes out to win the ball and suits that right central position. I think Rodon is just unfortunate because Dier and Davies are nailed on starters now.
