Ibanez was one of the original names and now that Roma have sorted out Ndicka I'd be happy if this one goes through, he looks very promising and well regarded.

Optimistic of course given previous reports, but one of the other original names for LCB (Laporte) is also still out there while City hope to sort out Gvardiol this week.

I'd love if waiting for Ndicka and Gvardiol to be sorted first was the hold up from our original targets, and we end up with something like those two + Phillips.

We've been told Tapsoba and VDV have been our top targets, and Tapsoba seem more and more like a dead end for this window.
But let's wait and see what happens after a Kane transfer. If we have to give him up, then we'll be looking for an alternative and there's not too many candidates.

I remember us signing Ardiles and Villa, but that’s beside the point.

Recently we’ve been good, Porro, Kulusevski, Bentancur and Maddison are good signings and I hope Vicario and Solomon turn out to be top drawer.

Clearing out dross for free sounds good, but it’s unrealistic, we need clubs to want to buy them and the players have to want to go.
