No-one will argue about the number of managers sacked and different methods tried out by Levy, but the majority of that article is a pile of turd. Now I remember why I never bother to read the Daily Mail.

He is good mates with Redknapp and Sherwood, I guess not so much Villas-Boas or Pochettino.

Agenda piece

BTW we do have the 10th largest stadium in the Premier League by capacity, shortly to be the 11th when West Ham move. Maybe that is what he is basing it on

Loved this bit

Tottenham are a big club, just not as big as United and Arsenal, and certainly no bigger than Newcastle, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Sunderland, Everton and Aston Villa.

All of them had bigger average attendances than Spurs in the Barclays Premier League.

Hardly surprising is it when you consider they all have bigger grounds than ours. Not convinced Villa had a higher attendance than us last season

He says we are the 10th biggest club since we have the 10th highest attendance

Mr Ashton appears to conflate stadium capacity with club size. Let me try to clarify for him...

If all Mail journalists are full of shit and Neil Ashton is the 10th largest Mail journalist, then he will contain less shit than nine other Mail journalists.

Not because he is less full of shit than them (because they are all full of shit), but because his capacity for shit is smaller than theirs. If, at some point, he was able to increase his capacity, he would have more shit than the other Mail journalists - but he would still be as full of shit as he ever was.

I'm not sure this wholly explains the situation - but it made me feel better for writing it...

So surely posting this is equally time wasting/dumb....sweet irony.
Oh and who's ginger?

This is no different from that Durham wanker, both professional trolls paid to goad fans into ringing phone lines or clicking on links.

Fishing for click through's is essentially Mail online's business model.

Hey look, I'm a Spurs fan, you're a Spurs fan. If we can't allow ourselves to get worked up on a Thursday morning over some ginger weasel ripping into our club then what's the point?

I saw it on twitter and thought it might make for some good debate/vitriol towards Ashton.

I'm saying why give this retarded shit the platform - giving the link hits and getting wound up - exactly what he wants. Neil Ashton is ginger, obviously.

So we should only post stuff about journalists praising Spurs? Hmm. Does that happen that often?

No. When it's a legitimate critique I wouldn't be against engaging with it - but these are the embittered ramblings of a diabolical journalist. It has one aim, to wind Spurs fans up - and it works for some reason.

Come on we've all seen this before - hack full of shit writing a sensationalist story, a story which is currently flavour of the month and big news in football purely for clicks...and what does everyone end up doing, clicking the link therefore justifying the article.

It's funny, because if we actually were the of comparable size to those clubs then there'd be nothing like this ever written!

6th highest revenue generator in the league, 4th if you take out the petro-doped teams, and we're no bigger than Villa huh? Nice try guy.

Probably because he is ginger?

P.S. Is he really ginger?

You seem to be more wound up about it than anyone.
