I think definitely start Son. He needed a break from the PL, but we still want him to regain form and confidence. Richarlison should be given a go at 9, and Kulu rested for Danjuma. Porro for Emerson seems a no brainer, and Sarr for either PEH or Skipp.

Forster
Sanchez - Dier - Lenglet
Porro - Sarr - Skipp - Perisic
Lucas - Richarlison - Son

Subs: Danjuma, Austin, Kane, PEH, Romero, Tanganga, Royal, Davies,
Like it, but would keep Romero in. Tempted to play Danjuma over Lucas, but have no idea what he is like from the right. PEH for Skipp at some point early in the second half.

This is a great chance for Porro and Danjuma to come in. I think Sarr, Perisic and Son all should get a start as well.

I wouldn't want to see any more changes than that. Keep the back line strong and hope the new guys can find their feet and the not so new one some better form

Would like to see Richy play as a 9 + Danjuma, Porro and Sarr all start. It would also be nice to see Devine get some good mins if we are comfortably ahead considering he’s currently our 4th CM.

Your post is missing some crucial bits there. Such as, we've rotated sides in the early to mid stages of competitions in previous years and when we've made it to semi-finals and finals of those competitions, we've still lost with our "best" team. So not really the reason we haven't won a trophy in last decade.
We've suffered exits due to weak squads, key players have been run into the ground- or their replacements have been ineffective. Richarlison now needs to turn up. But even if he does we're still vulnerable in defence, particularly without Romero who can't play every game.

I'd also like to see Devine getting 20 minutes if we are comfortably leading. We may need him as the season pans out so let's see what he can do.

I'm torn because I want richarlison to get the chance to play in his preferred role but I don't want to rest kane as this match is really bloody important. Like many in football, this is a judgement call and we'll blame the coach if it goes wrong. ?

Forster
Romero Sanchez Lenglet
Porro Sarr Skipp Perisic
Son Richarlison Danjuma
Almost this but not Romero for me.
feels like he’s vital for our success and needs nursing through games
That said playing Sanchez and Tanganga together feels very weak.
id rather start dier in the centre and Sanchez at rcb

I went with Romero to give porro sone decent protection.

can’t have him starting again with tanganga or Sanchez behind him

Reckon Romero will be rested for this one with either Tanganga or Sanchez in his place, if Mcburnie starts think we will need Dier's strength at the back

All depends on who's really fit enough to play and who might need protecting against injury but I'd go with;

Forster
Sanchez Dier Lenglet
Porro Sarr PEH Perisic
Danjuma Richarlison Son

Looks good to me , Is it my imagination or does Sonny usually step up his game as senior striker when Harry is rested , he certainly did against Preston , so Sonny to start up front .

People who say no change need to see the point that it is essential to give Porro and Danjuma a start to be able to integrate and make a mark.
Also Sarr should start as he earned it. We need a bigger part of the squad to get into a game rhythm.
