What type of managerial success did Keane have???He won a bit... But you've just described Roy Keane, who won more. How is his managerial career going?
Luis Enrique managed 3 seasons..Based on what
Honors, lad. Multiple honors. With different teams, in different countries.
Based on what
Luis Enrique managed 3 seasons..
1 promotion.
1 8th with a crap Celta.
6th 1 season with Roma.
Bit like comparing say wenger(at arsenal for 18 seasons) and Ronald Koeman who arrived at Soton a month ago.
Very arrogant to dismiss Atletico. They've lost Costa, Courtois and Luis. Mandzukic a great signing though, and they've got some great young players. Mostly importantly they've got Simeone, the best manager in Spain IMO.What type of managerial success did Keane have???
Again he finished 8th and beat real Madrid with a team that were favourites to be relegated. And you compare him to Roy Keane???? Wait and see. It will be a 2 horse race as atletico have sold their whole team.
They're just rehashing the same quotes as before. The quotes weren't broadcasted so we'll have to wait and see
If the Madrid team in the OP turns out to be correct, then surely they'll be winning the league. Two of the best three players in the world plays one
That RM squad looks great on paper but until they all play together, there's no guarantee they'll be able to play together. To me, RM looks like a squad full of ego's but Barca's much less so. Just my impression.
I think Messi and Neymar didn't work at times because nobody was running in behind, stretching the defence, creating more gaps between the midfield, where Messi and Neymar like to operate. Suarez will obviously help this, because he plays on the shoulder as well as having the ability to come deeper when needed. It'll be interesting. On one hand, Barca have Suarez, Neymar and Messi who are all used to being the focal point of a team. We saw last year that Neymar and Messi together at the same time doesn't really work, so I don't see how adding Suarez will help that, but we'll see. I'd imagine they'll be the front 3 in a 4-1-2-3, so a middle three of Iniesta, Rakitic and Busquets could help them, as they'll mostly just be playing the ball into the front three.
Likewise though, Real Madrid's middle two will likely be Modric and Kroos, both of whom are unselfish players who are very good at recycling the ball and keeping the game ticking along, giving the ball to and getting it back from the front three. Bale and Ronaldo last year, in contrast to Neymar and Messi, have shown that they can function well together, given they won the double. The front three for Madrid will pretty much stay the same, so it's really just a question of whether James and Kroos will fit in. I would suspect Kroos will slot in quite effortlessly, but if James does too, then they'll be very very strong. Of course that's not a given, afterall Kaka was one of the best in the world and it didn't work out for him, but it could do. Plus, I think Madrid a little more defensively sound than Barca, but it pretty much just comes down to who out of the two teams has their signings come to fruition.
