Yup- 'cause red is us- our history- just the same as white and blue!

In fact doesn't the song go "they're the boys in blue and white and red and yellow and purple and black and gold- and they're fucking DY-NO-MITE..."

Point taken bro- we are not a white and navy blue club- we are an any-color-you-can-think-of club! Thank you! I totally get it now!

Do you think that perhaps in the future we'll maybe someday play in home reds? My son loves red so that would be cool! Or maybe like a rainbow kit! Anyway- anything goes!

Here I was being being this traditionalist, thinking that our primary club colors are white and navy blue- when really, we're the fucking spectrum! Nice!

I like aqua, too- we should totally try that. Also, pastels are super underrated...lime green, turquoise, bright orange, etc.

This is exciting!

You need to a get a grip.

Nobody should be this angry and OTT about colours on a football kit.

I'm sure it was red. I think the outline was blue but it was that fuzzy stuff so might have looked more blue from a distance. Definitely looks a tinge red on the shirt above

The gap in between the lion/griffin arms/legs & the circle with the THFC in it was red, with the lion/griffin things being blue & the rear end of the cockerel having a blue tint, also.

Cardif City fans might disagree.

That is why cardiff are back to their being nothing while swansea continues their adventures in the pl. Cardiff fans bit the hand that save them from going bust and financing their promotion to pl. They can be upset with the change in colour of their club but the reality is sometimes you can only choose either success or history and heritage. Those who choose the latter should shut up about club ambition because money may not garantee sucess but no money means no chance of success.

I respect your opinion, but bullsh!t...

Why does there have to be a choice? City, Utd, chelski have all had investment and success without having to change their shirt colours...

Investment doesn't have to come at the expense of your clubs identity. Cardiff fans had every right to hit the roof when that crack pot came in and changed their home kit from blue to red.

Anyway, we're moving off topic... Not a fan of the new kit unfortunately. Not our worst, but underwhelmed by what we'll being wearing for our last year at the Lane.

I do hope there is some kind of aknoledgement of it being the last season at WHL, with some kind of inscription under the badge or something.

As much as I dislike the red sponsor, I'm kind of over it at the same time. We had it with Thompson and then Masions after.

Whether the club colours, badge, name or heritage remain or to be change is the decision of the investor not the fans. If you are "lucky" nothing will be altered. However the fans are on the recieving end. If some one with the wrong colour offers more money and exposure, the practical choice is to take up their offer. You can argue but the decision making is with the investor.

Please dont forget that cack pot save cardiff from going bust. He has the right to change because without him there may not be a cardiff anymore.

There's a massive difference between the colour of a sponsor and an investor changing the club colours so their home shirt changes from blue to red.

This club has got a lot right in recent years, but dear oh dear, they've not kept their eye on the ball in regard to our kits AND our brand image (cos our kits are one of the most important and obvious visual signifiers of who we are).

On the business side the kits are usually late, for all the petty money grabbing in football and THFC can't even get some cheap factory replicas ready before a new season starts.

...and then there is the issue, seemingly, of handing over full control of kit design to the kit sponsors - I say this because I can't believe anyone with our club at their heart would not veto nonsense like that sailor boy design or what appears to be the coat of many, many colours that we will get this year.

Even the bits of the home shirt that remain white, it's not a pure brilliant white that gleams under the floodlights, it's some off white, the white you get when you put it in the same wash as 30 pairs of dark grey socks.

here endeth the sermon on being true to your heritage, or in more modern language, your brand identity

How dare you! Our kit changes drastically every single season because change is a good thing- people don't want to buy the same shirt every year!

Oh and we got a big pay packet from our sponsor!

Also- It's just a kit- some will like it, some won't- same as always!

Asia! Asia! Asia!

Everything's great buddy- people like you and me- blokes who would foolishly prefer a beautiful, simple, classic kit consisting of our base colors of blue and white- just don't get it! We are the problem!

Tradition-smadition-- and anyway we wore red back before television so it's part of our history!

I say embrace the new kit- it's beautiful! Ok not as good as the nautically-themed sailor-suit one from a couple of years ago but still really, really nice!
