at least the hammerings came from title contenders... We just lost to ten man relegated Newcastle 5-1 :'(

this statement is so fucking boring now

we only conceded more than 2 goals in any 1 match twice all season. we was 2-0 down at half time, we started the 2nd half a lot better got a goal back. they went down to 10 men, we then lost our only defender with any real pace, but had to try and score a 2nd, as 2-1 effectively meant the same as 5-1 = 0pts. we had 8 players in their half, and just because they had 1 less player it doesn't mean they are not allowed to touch the ball.

they hit us on the counter, 1 of our 2 defenders miss timed a challenge on the half way line, but we still got men back for Sissoko to take a DIVE, 3-1 own now meant we had to score 2 in the last 15 mins, so we chucked extra forwards and only had Davies back. they then hit us on the counter attack, and even if they might on not scored from those attacks they led to the 2 last goals.

this team never got relegated under Benitez it got relegated due to McLaren. under Benitez they played 9 games and by time he got his stamp on the team they were undefeated in their last 6 games 2 of those include draws v Man C and Liverpool, and the crowd gave them a great lift on the final day, what we did wrong is come out the traps from the start in 1st gear, and not changing till the start of the 2nd half.

there used to be a saying it was harder to play against 10 than it is against 11, and when its a striker getting sent off when leading 2-1, it doesn't mean it is guaranteed the 11 men win.

anyway back to kits

We lost to a relegated side twice. We failed to pick up even a point against a relegated side.

Also playing better than we were means absolutely nothing. We were thoroughly outplayed and dominated by a fucking relegated side.

the mistake we made in both matches was mentality, we came out thinking 3pts were in the bag, the 1st half of the 1st match at home we should of had the game won, took our foot off the gas 2nd half and got punished. yes their 2nd half performance in our home match deserved the points, especially on a day 1 of our best players had a bad day Lloris. on another day he would of saved both them chances with ease

and that = what in the English language?

yes I am embarrassed about the defeat (I watched right up to the 5th goal), more angry the way we played the 1st half, once we were 2-0 down we were always going to struggle, but the minute they got that pen in the 2nd half we had no choice but to throw everything at them, as no point hoping we might get a chance on the break, and with 1 defender that had no pace v Townsend and Sissoko we were always in with a chance of conceding more. just because they were relegated and down to 10 men, it doesn't mean they don't know how to score goals.

It means: Too Long: Didn't Read.

Normally people say it after a long post, not a pretty short one.

cheers

the trouble is once someone gets it in their head they are right they won't look at it from all angles. a lot stopped watching once it was 2-0. the score was embarrassing and so was the performance especially in the 1st half, but until that break and bad pen call, we did look like we would get back on level, they where on the back foot, and if we started the match at the same tempo as we did in the 2nd half in the 1st half, I don't think we would of lost.

over the last 4 matches I was just as angry with our 2nd half performances v WBA, Chelsea and Southampton

What the fuck has any of this got to do with the 2016/17 kit?

agree and apologies from me, just get so pissed off with the "we got hammered 5-1 by a relegated team", everywhere I look and by the same people that post nothing but negative posts, and most probably didn't watch the whole match.

Wish AIA would use the circle logo. Looks so much nicer, even if it is red (which it will be so no point conplaining about it).

the only reason there is a debate of classic vs modern for the kit is because UA make pure trash of any decent modern design. Have a look at the VAST majority of the kits Adidas are putting out nowadays and they are absolutely stunning

Stunning or just repetitive?
A lot of their kits are used by multiple teams - albeit in different colours.
I quite like the fact that our UA kits are unique and have some flair about them.
But unfortunately, when trying get to create something unique, opinion is always going to be divided.

Just had it confirmed by a manager of rebel sports in Australia that it was them that displayed the shirt early, that it is the real McCoy and that they currently have them held in the Managers office at all stores as they were emailed by head office to do so until launch date in about 1 month

In short that is definitely next years shirt

Further to my previous post I've just asked for a cheeky preview look and can confirm 100%

Actually looks a lot better than I thought

Did you see an away shirt buddy? That first pic of the shirt we saw looked genuine, but the more recent one including the very dark away version was not so genuine looking with the way the shirts seemed to bunch where the stitching was. But the designs might still have been correct even if those are knock offs!
