Assume you are referring to Golden Pal. The connections brought over a top US jockey with little European experience. Because of different procedures (the American races have bell before the gates open and we don’t) he missed the start and then wasted the horse trying to catch up. By the end of the race Golden Pal had nothing left. And I had money on it!
