The club publish attendances on people there not tickets sold - the trust have confirmed this.

60k tickets were sold for the last CL game but only 43k turned up and the attendance was published as 43k.

The attendance was 55k.

There is a consistent policy, not a change game by game.

I was there and estimated at around 55k
Everywhere else is reporting 46k and that's the figure that was announced in the stadium.

Everywhere else? Surely the official site is the de facto ultimate authority and purist source?

You may be correct but we know the club announced the official attendance for last weeks CL at 43k (when 60k tickets sold) so why the change in policy and all in a week.

Also, there have been numerous games sold out but only early 80k attendances adding weight to that confirmed by trust.

I love that(y)

There's so many factors as to why this was a low turn out there's no point going into detail, the time to worry is when we're getting these attendances in our new home.

Try the overground from gospel oak change at willesdon to wembley central. Take longer to get there but quicker coming back. Depending on where you live in highgate might not even need the car.

Good idea. Might try that. I would need the car as I live on the other side of Highgate Village... but definitely worth a try. How are the queues getting into Wembley central after the game?

Queues aren’t normally too bad leaving at the final whistle but I’m on the right side of the ground and don’t hang about.

I can’t wait to get back to the Lane. Wembley is destroying my soul bit by bit.

The main reasons:

The journey: Getting back is now an extra hour for me if I stay til the final whistle, which I almost always do. It’s a packed, stinky tube and I wear a large coat cos it’s freezing out but it gets to 100 degrees on the friggin train and it’s a struggle to get the coat off when there’s 8 people leaning and dribbling on you. So I almost die every journey home. That’s not nice.

The atmosphere: Only Liverpool and Madrid have been good. The rest has been between shit and average. The size and set out of Wembley is to blame, as well as being amongst people you’re not used to being amongst. Talking of which...

New fans sitting next to you: One guy behind me narrates the whole game loudly and aggressively to his mate, who isn’t blind, and his mate just says ‘fuck off Eriksen’ the whole game.

Performances: Most teams up their game cos it’s Wembley, or park their bus. The pitch size hasn’t helped, our pressing game has been affected amongst other things. It’s harder to break down these teams now as opposed to last year when we were hammering everyone who tried it.

They are my reasons for hating Wembley with a passion. To quote Poch, ‘I’m so so happy’ that we’ll be back at the Lane in August.

Ques are a lot smaller than wembley park. Although i only did the journey once last year so might be a bit busier now. Mate has a disabled badge so get a lift to the game now.

You can walk from gospel oak and get the 214 to highgate village. Or parking by gospel oak is easy enough.

That must be awful for you. Luckily for me I'm sat in front of a Uefa Badge Holding Coach who gives deep meaningful insights into the game throughout as well as offering constructive criticism to every player whose touch doesn't lead directly to a goal. I think Spurs are actually grooming him to take over from Poch. I hope he lives.

What is the actual problem here
Whether or not 46,000 is acceptable absolute number of attendance
Whether or not the club must declare sold tickets due to tax reasons or if they declare overall number of people, paying or not
What's the best route home from Wembley
And probably soon, whether or not Wembley is so bad that it's the reason behind Dele's lack of form.

Excluding cups, how many games left ? 10?

Think we can all agree we can’t wait to get back home so let’s support the team and enjoy as much as possible. A few big games left too.

Whether or not 46,000 is acceptable absolute number of attendance Great turnout, just happens to be in a massive fuck off stadium.
Whether or not the club must declare sold tickets due to tax reasons or if they declare overall number of people, paying or not Makes no difference, we won.
What's the best route home from Wembley The Quickest
And probably soon, whether or not Wembley is so bad that it's the reason behind Dele's lack of form Form is temporary, class is permanant
Now what?

BBLG I'm sure we've spoken about this years back, I live in Basingstoke so it's a very similar journey for us, longer for you in fact so credit to you. I've got a baby daughter now though so that factors in for me. When she's older and the new stadium is built I intend to go up a lot more but I still don't expect to ever be a season ticket holder. Maybe when I'm retired and have a lot more time on my hands :ROFLMAO:
I’m getting married next year so at some point in the next few years I imagine I’ll be in the same boat. Congratulations belatedly on your young daughter. Harriet I take it? Or Lily perhaps? ;)

If we’ve had the conversation before it would have been months, I’ve only lived in Andover since February, was in Newbury for two years before that and in north London the rest of my life.
