All I seem to be reading over the last few weeks is how bad Levy/Redknapp are doing, how we have fucked up yet another transfer window etc etc etc. Now I know everyone is pissed of at our lack of signings, yes we need to strengthen, yes levy and Redknapp make mistakes but I think the stress of the transfer window is making us all over react now.

Firstly, with levy as chairman we are one of the best-run clubs in the premier league, and have established ourselves as a top 5 team with very limited resources. We have a stadium no bigger than most of the bottom half of the premier league. The sponsorship deals, transfer fee's etc levy has managed to negotiate are the reason we have been able to spend the money we have over the years. We had no money coming in from Europe, shirt sales etc, which the "big 4" all had/have. We would not be anywhere near the top 5 without levy pulling off the things he has done to allow is to even come close to competing financially.

Secondly, Redknapp. Yes, he can annoy me, he needs to shut up sometimes, but all I can really say is, champions league for the first time, simples

Lastly, transfers. Ok we need to shift dead wood, but going back to what was said about levy, with the ffp coming in to play, levy is going to want to bring in as much money as possible from these players, as the ffp is essentially about book balancing, yes its a pain, but he knows better than I do

Incomings, Harry has said himself we were close to Mata. So we are obviously active and going for these players. Fact is, we have not got a clue what is going on behind the scenes, what the hold ups are, which players we are bidding for, why it is not going through etc

So yes, it is frustrating, things are not perfect, and we do need to strengthen, but chill and have some faith. Forget last nights result, with the team we had out it was not a true reflection of where we are. Lets all see what the next few days brings us

I'm sorry but losing away at the Champions is just indicative of where Levy and Redknapp have left this club, and the way they deliberately engineered it so that we had the spine of our team injured for the game is just amateurish.

I'm sick and tired of Levy and Redknapp having turned us into a force in the Premiership and I think that after one defeat it's time to sack them both.

Ban all reasonable and sensible posts or maybe we should have a new "sensible forum"

What we want on here is total illogical knee jerk reactions to losing to Manchester United who, let's face it are a second rate team who won't win the league and get to the finals of the champs league again (or will they).

I think it says alot that a thread called 'a bit of perspective' has 14 posts whereas one titled 'we're totally underprepared!' has 114.

It's like the difference between tabloids and broadsheets.
