A.Ferdinand... Why?

I do not consider this to be a rumour thread, but a question on the potential signing of Ferdinand.

I have heard he is close to signing, but please someone give me a reason as to why we need him?

I do not mean to be iggnorant, but i think he is awful as a defender. I have spoken to mates who are spammers, and they think he is a donkey half the time.

I cannot understand the £6million odd price tag :duh:, and i cannot understand why we would go for him instead of a decent defender... (I personally think, what we have now is more than good enough and plenty of back-up),

What are your views?

I agree, we;d be crazy to sign him, he is definitley no better than Dawson or Kaboul, with less potential than both.

In fact i'd rather we keep Gardner and Rocha than him, surely there are far better and also experienced CDs available for that price elsewhere.

I agree with what you are saying but this is virtually mirrored in the Transfer Rumours forum, where you will find many others are in agreement.
