I don't agree with that. If he reaches the byline then he has to cut it back. He's done it well over the last couple of seasons and we've scored a few goals like that.

Hitting it across the goal from the byline is only ever going to find the feet of the first defender or the goalkeepers arms who should be covering the near post.

Hitting it hard across the box is what should be doing a few yards from the byline imo.

Yes you are right. Obviously not hitting it from the byline, I just meant once he has beaten his man, his outball should be as simple as possible, every time.

Anyway Lennon , he simply hasn't improved on the wonderful teenager he was . You get the feeling he has the speed still...but has gone stale with us now . Mebbe best for him to have new challenges see if he can find his spark.

What exact point are you making? That I should think the players are all shit all of a sudden?

If someone posts that they think so-and-so isn't as good, blah blah. I can disagree with them, and point to the fact that a recent bad performance isn't a logical measure of ability. I'm allowed to say that: and more importantly, I'm bloody right too. :lol:

He didn't get much of a look in after that, and when he has come on he's done fine.

oy vey. i thought lennon looked good last season. i more or less discount OT games because we have a massive infreiority complex there. lennon was ace against Hearts and has been for 2 years now since he sorted out his end product (all wingers fluff the odd cross)

I don't see a issue with him at all. Very good player, still improvements to be made but definitely worth his spot. I just think were we lack guile and variety playing both bale and Lennon in the same team, it also leaves our midfielders with a fair amount of work to do

Not the most consistent (shocking for a winger, I know) but still has the pace and his stats suggest that, whilst he's not an uber-winger, which is obvious to us all, replacing him and getting a similar level of productivity out of another winger would be harder than many imagine.

True enough. If we can bring in a player who improves the team then do, no matter who they replace. It'll take a bit of doing though, imo. Especially for a sensible price.

Lennon is a winger who can't cross, I believe that's why we got Bentley in the first place.
