I totally agree . If he can just work on and improve his final ball he would be Englands 1st choice RW.

We should keep him but for his sake and SPurs' sake he needs real competition for his place. When he was fighting to prove he was better than Routlegde he was brilliant. The longer we've gone on with no real rival for the right wing slot the mosre inconsistent he's got often only getting motivated for bigger games. He needs to tear the mid and lower teams to shreds.

I agree that he's had more stick than he deserves from some. Whilst he's not been brilliant he's always gives his full back something to think about and draws attention away from the ball. He's also year on year improved his work rate going the other way... he's still easier to beat than my nan but he see's danger and gets back to it reasonably well.

There is no question that we should keep him. What I'd like to see is the club coaches really work on him on his weaknesses. If need be, start him in the Reserves next season until he has ironed out the wrinkles, and then throw him in the first team with his new weaponry and the opposition will never know what has hit them.

No doubt about his potential and quality on form.. The way he runs past Evra in that video, who is one of the fastest full backs in the Premiership is amazing.. He said himself his form was better once Ramos gave him more freedom and he along with everybody else at Tottenham was bad the last months so lets not use that against him..

TBH a few of the clips in the video wasnt from this season though..

Aarron lennon is a very talented footballer, who in my opinion we should keep buttt i wouldnt mind the money this young chap would bring in if transfered,in saying that he is probably the only player who can tear a team apart (on his day) bombing up those wings wich we dnt have alot of players who can do that. and obvious replacement would be SWP.

but at the end of the day i trust ramos :)

I love Lennon. I'd be absolutely gutted if he wasn't part of Ramos' plans, but I'm sure I'd get over it quickly as I'm confident Ramos will do whatever is best for us to progress.

Said many times on here I think Lennon is a top class player and just needs to work on his consistency and final delivery

Fingers crossed he will stay!!!

It's difficult to say exactly what Ramos like in a player, but I'd say ultimatley technique is more important to him than pace and Lennon's technique is severely lacking. There can't be many in the Prem who are worse at striking the ball than Lennon. Ultimately the whole point of wide players is to create chances for strikers. For all the excitment he brings to the team, he doesn't actually have particuarly good output. The most chances he's ever created in a season in 36, when the top wide players usually will make about 60-80. I'm sure Berbatov, Keane and Bent would rather play with the likes of Bentley or Downing than Lennon. I know most Spurs fans won't agree with that, but I suspect it's true.

However, despite pointing out those negatives, I definitely think we should keep him. I can't see him as Ramos's first choice, but he'd be a great squad player and a fantastic impact sub. If you look at the wide players Ramos has used in Spain, people often note the pace, but they also have quality delivery in common. He also used Marti, Duda and at Malaga, Letko, in wide postions and none of these players have great pace, but are all good crossers of the ball. Lennon definitely has potential, but that doesn't mean we should not look to buy a player that offers somehting different to him on the right. We play so many games thesedays that he won't suffer from a bit of competition and with the 7 sub rule, I'd expect him to still feature in most games. Also, he's still just 21. He might improve alot in the next couple of season's and become an undroppable member of the first team regardless of who else we buy on the right.

one trick pony, show him the line and hes done for,not good enough for where we want to be unfortunately,
he has gone rapidly downhill since his 'winner' against chelski,
bound to cause uproar but thats my take, sorry

totally wrong, infact the one thing i feel he has improved on is his ability to go either way. infatc look at the clips, outside, inside, nutmegs. He is also a much more intelligent playe runder ramos, although his supply isn't the best by the long way the passes he chooses are by and large the right ones, its just his aim thats lacking. I think given the right coaching he will be a starter for england, without doubt.

Because he's been a regular first team fixture for so long some people seem to forget that hes only 21. I would hate to see him leave because i think he has the potential to be one of the best wingers in the premiership.

He does have a great tendency to suddenly move the ball right with the outside of his right foot. If defenders can deal with that then a lot of his game probably goes - I'm hypothesising cause i've never watched him all that closely.

However, wasn't Moniz brought in to teach our players entirely new tricks? And someone at the club must have decided to improve Lennon's crossing. If both of these endeavours could pay off I think we could have a genuine £10m player.
