I think Maher has a nice future, but for the life of me I don't understand spending 10-12m on him when we could realistically go for Felipe Anderson who I feel has even better upside and just by looking at him (phsyical stature, technique, all around skills) he looks like he would get acclimated to the PL much quicker. Both are only 19.

Lol... To say that he was spot on regarding Lloris and Ade is just wrong. Aqayid is not a reliable source for ITK info. To me it just looks like he is repeating whatever the more reliable people are talking about.

He would be worth a bid of €8m at least. Skill wise he's got it but I do not know about his attitude, as that often is a stumbling block for very talented players. As I believe that is why the big clubs aren't sure about Belhanda.

Manchester City look set to finally land top target Adam Maher in the summer after AZ Alkmaar confessed he is set to be sold.

The news comes just days after reports in Holland revealed that City had opened negotiations over a transfer, following months of speculation over the 19-year-old’s future.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all known to have scouted Maher, but it now seems likely that City will win the race at the end of the season.

‘The expectation is that Maher will leave the club,’ said coach Gertjan Verbeek in a short statement.

The Holland star, who has four caps for his country and is rated as a big talent for the future, has been in superb form for AZ this season but has reportedly developed itchy feet and wants to move.

His current deal runs until 2015, and with AZ wary that Maher has no plans to extend that it is likely that they will do business for around £15million rather than lose him on the cheap.

City had previously considered throwing teenage striker John Guidetti into the deal, but he apparently refused to be a makeweight.
