Reports from the chap at work not so sound after yesterday, reckons he needs to 'beef up a bit', otherwise he'll struggle at a higher level, general consensus is that they are very impressed with him going forward, and he does love to get forward, but his defensive work is quite far behind.

To me, that's quite normal for a young full back I think.
It is one of the biggest football cliche's out there for FBs, 'good going forward but not great defensively'. I mean you're talking about a handful of elite few that can do both well.

Saw some of the abuse he got on twitter, horrible.

Yeah that was out of order, standard behaviour from Leeds fans innit.

Delving a bit deeper into the man mountain sitting next to me, he was being bullied by Diouf, I feel like an idiot responding with "he isn't the first player to be bullied by Diouf..."

Scored the winner for Millwall who beat Bristol City 2-1 today

That's 14 starts, 1 goal, 2 yellow cards and 1 red (rescinded) which means he has started pretty much every game since going there in late September. A decent loan spell for him - wonder if there is a chance of a Premiership loan in the second half of the season

Edit - Maybe I am not the only one to think of a Prem loan for Smith http://www.london24.com/sport/champ...ow_as_premier_league_duo_interested_1_1755957

A loan like that would happen late like it did with Kane. I think that most teams will have an assortment of options and back up plans and depending on how things fall a couple of teams may well look towards Smith as a decent late alternative, as Hughton did with Kane.

There was talk that Harry Redknapp has an interest in taking him on but it would be dependant upon what happens with Livermore (obviously can't take both on loan). If we don't sign a new dm then I'd imagine that Livermore will stay and so then the chances of Smith heading to QPR improve. Will find out on the 31st.

I have 2 cuzs who go Millwall week in week out. Know their footy and very impressed with him, very happy he's staying for the season. Could have a very big future if things continue this way...
