Please no. Hopefully it is just a journo putting two and two together and getting five.

Personally I really like him, but that's admittedly because I love the type of player that picks up the ball and just runs at the opposition with pace, which is something of a rarity these days. Lennon is my favourite Spurs player, hence the avatar.

I absolutely wouldn't pay anywhere near £45m for him, but (and I got flamed for this in the Lucas thread the other day) personally I could see why we might look to potentially replace 29 year old Lucas, with a 25 year old Traore if it could be done without much of a net spend and we planned to play counter attacking football.

Adama, like Wolves, had a poor year last year but in 19/20 he got 9 Premier League assists compared to Lucas' 4. He's less of a goal threat, but more explosive and better at carrying the ball over distance and pulling players out of position. Kane could potentially benefit from that a lot.

Anyway, it won't happen, but I don't think it's quite as radical an idea as others do.

One of my favourite footballers to watch in 19/20. Last season not so much. At that price? Definitely not.

Traore is the ideal Spurs Community signing. Most weeks looks like a Sunday league player and then all of a sudden one match looks like second coming of Ronaldo. Would cause us all sorts of meltdowns in here ?

On the one hand I always think that managers going back for an old player like this can be good because they really know what they’re getting. On the other hand, I remember that David Moyes signed Fellaini for Man Utd

Would be interesting to see how often this tactic works out.

In theory the manager knows the character and qualities of the player. But then this doesn't mean they'll always fit into their new team. Always a worry about them becoming a scapegoat if the team isn't doing so well.

Redknapp bought us some players from Portsmouth who did all right.

But how often a new manager buys a player from their previous club to be successful would be interesting to look into.

In terms of pure pace and power there aren’t many who can match him.

I’m just not sure what else he’s got to offer.

Some snobbery going on in here ! If played correctly he can be very affective! I remember verts saying he is basically unplayable. Scares defences opens space for others, I’d take him

I’d rather just keep Bergwijn.
Is it a case of one or the other?

I believe our current first team attacking options are Alli, Moura, Bergwijn, Son and Kane.

Surely there's room for one more player unless I'm missing someone.

How is not rating someone snobbery?

Does wanting an attacking player who scores and/or gets assists make someone a snob?

We're not paying circa £40m for Gil to be in the u23's.
