I don't think he's a bad player, I just don't think he's even close to what we need.

In Son, Bergwijn, Lucas and now Gil we have four wingers who are exceptional dribblers and absolutely rapid in transition. If we want to set up against the top teams like we did against City and try to counter then we've already got a brilliant set of forwards to do that.

What we DON'T have, is any real nuance or creativity. In games where the opposition sits deeper and keeps players behind the ball we won't get anywhere near as much space as we did on Sunday. That's where having someone who can pick the lock, get his head up, and produce a final pass is helpful. Son is class but he's not an elite playmaker nor is he particularly good in tight spaces. The other three are dribblers but all struggle with finding an end product.

Adama is just another (perhaps slightly improved) version of what we already have in Lucas, Gil and Bergwijn. If we're to go for another midfielder/winger I'd much rather it was someone with a bit more guile and intelligence, rather than another 1v1 dribbler who needs space to run into.

I'm not his biggest fan, but you have to admit him in the setup we played at the weekend, Traore in the Bergwijn role would be incredibly fun to watch. There are few players, if any, in world football more dangerous in a one-on-one situation in space. And his end product in the season before last when he had a functioning attack around him was 4 goals and 9 assists in the league.

I think with a good team around him he'd create so many problems for defences. Do you double him up out wide and leave space for Moura/Son to run into? Or do you back off and allow him space to whip his great crosses into for Son and Kane (or Vlahovic if he goes)?
I would take him tomorrow! When he went to Wolves from Stoke, I remember thinking we should have gone for him and let Poch work his magic on him

If there's one player I wouldn't want us to sign, it's Adama Traore.

Do not rate him one bit, never have done.

He can run really fast, that's about it; his numbers are terrible for the games he's played and the excitement he seems to generate amongst crowds and commentators.

The amount of space he would create for other players would be fun to watch. Most teams will instinctively want to double up on Adama, freeing up Son, Lucas, Dele and the fullbacks to make forward runs. If for whatever reason Stevie leaves, I wouldn't be opposed to us signing Traore.

I hope there's no truth in this the guy is a 100m runner not a footballer. More often than not we play with our opposition on the edge of their penalty box. We need clever players with a burst of pace and really good passing and end product not this.

For me Ismail Sarr is better than Traore and they are a bit similar.
Among those linked with the Spurs, my yes and no list:

Yes: Tomiyasu, Zouma, Pau Torres, Palhinha, Nandez, Sarr, Lautaro, Vlahovic.

No: Milenkovic (too raw), Umtiti, Igor Gomes, Auoar, Khvicha, Bamford, Braithwaite

As a neutral, I love Traore...but I don't want him at Spurs. Nuno has already had him and couldn't coax much end product out of him. I will not deny he's a joy to watch, though. And, of course, he's going to kill us on Sunday now because I can't keep my yap shut...

I'd be very happy rotating Son, Lucas, Gil, Bergwijn, and one of Traore/Zaha/Sarr - think they all offer excitement, pace, and trickery for how we want to play.

Of those Bergwijn is the most likely to get changed out, he's lost so much confidence over the last 6 months I'm not sure if he can make it back

I'm torn. I really like watching Traore and are a fan of his, but question what he would add to our side, especially with the way Moura played on Sunday. Part of me thinks the 40m could be used better elsewhere or held onto for next summer

I really don't understand how anyone would say they wouldn't want traore at our club...he had the top take on in a single match for all of last season as well as most take ons in the year completed (and it wasn't even close). Top that with his insane pace...this is a player that puts fear into any opponent, makes them nervous to make a mistake around them, makes managers adjust tactics to deal with him. If anyone watched the leicester, wolves game...he taunted their defense. He should have scored yes, but imagine if he had son, lucas, kane etc to pass the ball too. For me, he would be a massive upgrade on bergweijn (who I very much like) but traore can bring so much more to the game.

Bergwijn in Premier League: 0,41 G+A per 90
Adama Traore in Premier League at Wolves: 0,27 G+A per 90

I have never seen Bergwijn cause anything like the problems Traore can.

His end product need's work but if it clicks he would be worth an absolute fortune.

The space he would create for others in our team is frightening.

Every team that plays them just try and stop him.

We've waited 4 years for Moura to finally develop a (fairly) consistent end product, don't want to start the same journey with Traore.

Well, for the crowd that dislikes Dier and Sanchez because for 90% of the match they are good and 10% an absolute shitshow, wait until they get to watch Traore as he flips those percentages around!

He might be an interesting addition/option but I wouldnt exchange any of our current wingers for him. I think any worry about whether our wingers are good enough will evaporate once we see Bryan Gil play a few.
