put 2 or 3 right on a platter for his teammates. Won 2 or 3 corners. plus his hold up play was immense and a big reason why we simply could not pressure them.

Hard for me to imagine why they’d sell him. He was everything for them.
Most of his crosses were in the right areas but lacked players attacking the spaces. Also at leats three of them presented good goal scoring chances that with better quality may have ended with goals.
Also created the situation that led to their penalty shout, drew two bookings in the first half, and forced our midfielders to overload his side which played a big role in Wolves' CM2 dominating our CM3.

Ended the game with no goals or assists but was the single most influential player on the pitch. You have to look beyond the top-line statistics to see his impact on the game but it is absolutely massive.

Wolves Fans View:

This is very depressing!

Levy needs to get his platinum card out then because £40m is peanuts for Adama. It's fine for him to extort City on Kane, but wants players in on the cheap. Get lost.

This is awful news.

Telegraph saying a loan with a view or Jota like staggered payments. Pathetic from us, £40m straight up isn't good enough, if we go out our way to make it easy for them it's ****ing ridiculous.

Adama on loan. No one can justify that

Maybe they'd like Neves on a free, too?

We quickly become relegation candidates IMO with no Traore (and Neto).

Genuinely gutted if this happens. It is so close to properly clicking for him and if/when it does, he will be a truly top talent.

They might want him but that’s not to say we will sell him.

I would also offer him 20k per goal and see if that improves his finishing.

We have to trade and buy sadly, we are not a big club like Spurs and we don't generate the revenue. Some of best football under Nuno was without Traore, so all is not lost. He won't always play as well as yesterday, maybe he was playing for a Spurs contract judging by all the contact at the end of the game.

Interesting reading Spurs forum even after yesterday, 90% were still all slating Traore describing him as brainless with no end product.

They're right about the end product. He's a brilliant watch, almost worth the entrance fee on his own, but entertaining without scoring or creating chances - at least recently - for others is in itself not enough.

40m cannot be the price surely? Minimum 60m, absolute minimum the guy is totally unique.

Levy is playing hard ball with Man City over Kanes price, I hope Jeff's got the balls to play him at his own game....its 80m so pay up or jog on.

Jeff will bite their hand off for £40m.

Romano just on ssn said spurs to make an opening bid in coming hours

Well tell them to **** off and offer Adama a bumper contract hell who am I kidding Levy will pull Jeff pants down with a crap offer that we’ll jump at.

Only a matter of time now. Adama's heads gone moment will be in the coming hours.

If top 6 clubs want our players most of them will fancy the move. We’re miles behind those clubs currently

I don't class Spurs as a top 6 club tbh. Them and Arsenal both replaced by Leicester.

I would put Spurs as 5th Leicester 6th

They still have more pulling power than Leicester. Money, location and brand.

you do need a player sometimes that can just flick a switch. plus there's something to be said in just how shit scared defenders are of him and why the fuck wouldn't you be, he's a house. you can't not keep an eye on him which makes up so much more space for the rest of the attack

we'd need progressive CMs to make it worthwhile but could be a lot of fun

And yet we won. You could say Traore cost them at least a point.

I am not having a go at you, but traore has proven he doesn't win matches.

Anyway, I doubt wolves sell him for the price we would like.

He doesn't win matches alone, but there are only a handful of players who do and exactly none of them want to be at Spurs, including one who happens to be in our fucking squad currently!

It's a team game, he creates situations for his teammates to take advantage of, and the fact that he doesn't do it all by himself is hardly a fair criticism.

Traore is a pure chaos agent. He doesn't even know what's going to happen when he gets the ball, so god help the opponents

Guy is an absolute beast, shows how well we defended to be fair.

If he could just settle himself down when in front of goal and in crossing positions he'd be absolutely unstoppable.

His crossing isn't too bad, gets to the line and pulls the ball back, its more when he tries to shoot or do something a bit more complex with the ball his technique can let him down a bit but he ran us absolutely ragged.

We love a good winger at Spurs:
Waddle
Ginola
Bale
Lennon
Son

Lets add Traore to this list.

Dembele was one of our most influential players for years without providing goals and assist. I'm not comparing the twos style but they both are able to shift the ball, best a player, and drag the opposition's tactical set up out of position. Even if he doesn't score or ssssit he'd Def drag attention away from Kane, son, Alli, etc plus he'd always be an out all when were under pressure. Liverpool use mane and salah so well so alleviate pressure and turn defence in to attack.

Hes an improvement for me on Bergweijn and us a different option to have. 40 mil is a snip for someone already settled in the prem and would improve our first XI

Fair enough points.

We have 2 match winners in Kane and Son. Hence we have to keep Kane at all costs, unless we realise we can't compete for top 4 this season.

My question is should we stump up at least £40mio (and I think wolves want more) for a player that may not be a necessity.

Also does he actually put like baby oil on himself before matches as swear someone said that he does literally oil himself up, imagine trying to defend against not only someone so big and strong that if you tackle him the wrong way you will lose your balls but also someone who is very slippery haha #missionimpossible to defend against him.

Would be so much fun signing him.
