It could be YOU that the next chant is aimed at COYS (the real Spurs fan.....)

Bring it on! I won't be crying about someone chanting that my dad works in a tea room.

I will continue to sing whatever I wish to wind up our rivals.

Still going strong it seems...
Anyway, my two cents, if i was a prague supporter i would have been looking on those who sang adebayor songs in a "what are they stupid kind a way, this is prague not a london-derby, silly brits"
And as for the song itself, i would not sing it regardless of the setting.

No point even taking the risk before we get branded racists by the media. Can imagine them overshadowing our cup victory with headlines such as racist spurs yobs disgrace English football. No point even going there. We can make up better chants anyway.

Does seem to discriminate a bit of other species if humans are the only ones allowed through the pearly gates, don't you think?

Heaven

Good point Christophe! I hope they have Elephants cos i want to ride one, even if its just to see if they fall through the clouds when i'm on the vinegar stokes!:)

Isn't it funny that the people who seem to be most offended by this silly chant are Caucasian? Hmmm

At least two black people have stated in this thread that they don't find it offensive and there were black fellas in the crowd at Derby singing it loud and proud Hmmm:think:

Furthermore, I asked two of my mates who are of African descent what they thought and they both found it a tad amusing...and ones a dirty gooner! Hmmm:think:

Maybe just maybe some people are being just a touch over sensitive?

Personally, I would much prefer to sing positive songs about our own players than sing about those arseholes down the road (unless we're playing them of course)! Its scandalous that some of our own players eg JJ don't even have a song!! Eek

Well that's settled it then, thanks to Delboy's exhaustive survey we can conclude that it might be racist but it doesn't offend.

Close the thread.

Next week Delboy will be asking his friends "Abortion: right or wrong?"

Tune in for the definitive answer!!

I really hope no one sings this song at the cup final. If there's one thing most people agree on, it's that we should only sing songs about scum players when we are playing them.

It would be really embarresing, being at a cup final, and we come out with Adeeebyoooor....

Lets make sure all our chanting on Sunday is directed at the right people for the right reasons.

COYS we're gona win the cup!

Doesnt anyone care that children are present at games and are heavily influenced by what goes on around them. They hear these songs and go around singing them out of the football environment. To be honest I wish I never supported any team, and felt so passionately but its too late now. I guess its an indictment of ones life, where I loves something that doesnt even know who I am.

Just wondering what would be the thinking had that song been sung about Zokora (it sort of fits) - I reckon many of us would be giving off about it and clearly wouldn't be saying it's funny!
The song is not clearly racist, but it clearly has racist undertones and is meant in that manner. Personally, I just think it's bloody stupid.
I agree with many on here that we should sing songs about our players and not worrying about Arsenal's or anyone other team's players for that matter. Concentrate on getting behind our players. We got so much praise (even from Gooners) for the atmosphere at WHL and the singing before the second goal was brilliant and makes the hands on the back of my neck stand up just thinking about it.
I don't really care what other clubs sing about us - we are better than that!

clearly racist. If I called a black guy a cotton picker, that would be racist too & it's pretty much the same thing
