read that sherwood gave adebeyor the confidence to play
well he did for four games but what about the other twelve games where ade has been in his dont give a shit mode?
in the same article it said that sherwood was a motivator of players
to my eyes he has de motivated sandro paulino verts dembele capoue and hotby before his loan to fulham
i think the biggest problem the new manager has is getting the unhappy players on board
on the ade theme i hope he scores a hat trick and plays out of this world then perhaps a rich turkish ;chinese or a club from russia comes in for him so as to get him out the door as he is stinking the place out
and along with him take
"i think holding midfielders are overated"
"our players are much of a muchness"
"i dont know our best side"
"ericsen must not play wide"but plays him wide everytime
"i am the best spurs manager ever"
"i will be a hard act to follow"
"sandro is nit good enough"
sherwood
i could go on but this man is sucking the energy out of me along with his non favourite players
"

Perhaps, how about this, Adebeyor Is just a decent enough human being to say something nice about someone?

Let's paint the picture. Some clever dick journo asked the question "what do you think of Tim Sherwood, should he be kept on"

Instead of causing controversy he just says nice things.
God forbid he says something nice instead of being plastered all over the back pages for being nasty and hateful.

Of course had he done that you'd have used that rod to beat him with too.

Who are you referring to TMS?
THIS is why I struggle with your posts.

Everyone that's having a go at Adebeyor.
This whole site is full of irrational hatred.

Nothing's personal here! What? You'd feel better if we gave Ade a huge 'Atta Boy!' and a cigar for stepping out of the way with Paulinho to gift WH with a goal, while blowing a glorious opportunity, tapping a penalty to the keeper and practically not playing since forever? Sorry, but our players should be held to a higher standard than that, and so should our coach regardless of how we may feel about them personally.

there is nothing irrational about having no time for a man who only puts in a shift when it suits him
most of the people with sympathy for adebeyor buy into his self pittying problems
but choose to forget him coming back late from africa by two weeks
also he played the pity me line another time when he went missing for three weeks and he said it was family problems
when in fact there was photos of him having a jolly up at a basketball game with t.henry among others

On the contrary, most people decided they didn't like him before he ever played for spurs and nothing will ever change that opinion.

The same people that slate his work ethic are staunch supporters of soldado who spent more than half this season standing around scratching his arse.
That's called hypocrisy.

Have you had a go at Adebeyor in this thread because he just said something nice when asked a question?

God yeah, I hate it when people say something nice. If you can't be nasty, keep your mouth shut - that's my motto :)

No, in all seriousness, I understand what you mean - some of the comments are OTT but that goes on both sides and its usually those that are doing the "I hate this irrational hatred" posting that, on occasions, are the most vitriolic towards fellow posters. (Not thinking of you in this case).

As for irrational, I think we need to have a word with Adebayor in regards to his 'great manager' statement - the epitome of irrationality. :)

Adebayor played well when he first came back into the team, after he picked up his injury he could continued to compete well but unsurprisingly lost some of his edge; since his enforced lay off he has been off the boil but not particularly bad.

He gets hated because of the gooner connection, because AVB isolated him and AVB can do no wrong, and because Sherwood brought him back and Sherwood can do no right.

Stop believing what players and managers say. They are more honest when they have left a club and even then their PR people are in their ears. Most dont write an honest autobiography when their careers are over, let alone give a really honest interview while still playing.

I have sat next to players, coaches and managers who say one thing in private about a teammate, manager, player, club, opponent and then another when a microphone is put in front of them. Take what they say with a pinch of salt.

I wonder if some people (I won't call them 'orrible ****s, because I'm better than that! ;)) would have the same reaction if Sandro came out and said "Sherwoods an awful manager, I hope he leaves Spurs". Probably not. I mean, most of them were up in arms because he dared to tweet something innocuous.

Surely you're not insinuating that these people are hypocrites? But then they'd be just like our current manag................ Oh, now I get it!!

Why? He had no fucking issue whatsoever with INSTANTLY coming out and telling the press he happily disrespected the guy who was in charge before Sherwood took over.

It's abundantly clear. Adebayor will say the same thing about ANY manager who doesn't dare to tell him what to do, or treat him as part of a squad. Just as he will say the same thing about ANY manager who demands he puts in the same effort as anyone else, and insists he is just another member of the squad.

There is NO middle ground with Adebayor. He either loves the manager because the manager doesn't have the balls to stand up to him, or he shits on the manager because the manager treats him the same as every one else.

That's not beating him with any imaginary rod, it's simply stating history as it happened.

Still pretending you can speak for, or read the minds of everyone else

Here's the kicker, you don't have the foggiest as to how any individual has come to their own personal opinion, so stop believing/proclaiming that you do.

Obviously he's not gonna say bad words about Sherwood who's done nothing bad to Adebeyor but he would about AVB who treated Adebeyor like shit.

I don't really see what your point is?
Maybe you thought I meant Adebeyor wouldn't say bad things about anyone? That's not what I meant, just that you don't cause a controversy by saying what the dirty journo wants you to say while Sherwood is still your boss.
Adebeyor didn't one speak out of turn whilst AVB was still in charge.

The point was, Matty, that Adebayor is far from what you suggested, ie "a decent enough human being to say something nice about someone". His whole career has been about performing for the guy ho gives him the free-est reign on the pitch. I'm not arguing with you about it, there's no need to. Both Redknapp and Sherwood publicly admitted that they never bothered telling Adebayor what to do, which is why he played better under them.

I'd suggest there's a reason Mourinho never permanently signed him for Real Madrid, just as there's a reason he was gotten rid of by EVERY manager who has a strictness to how they go about their management, or puts the squad ahead of any individual.

NO player should be given the freedom of the club, which Sherwood has admitted to giving Adebayor. This is what separated Ferguson from the rest because, no matter how 'big' a player felt he was, if he didn't go along with what the Ferguson wanted, he was out. That's how it should be for all players, in my opinion.

I wonder how the rest of the squad must feel when they're being publicly slagged off for not being good enough to be in the squad, not having the bottle for a fight, not caring about results when they're driving home etc etc etc, whilst Adebayor is given a free ride to do and act as he pleases? It truly can't be good for squad harmony, and would certainly explain why so many players appear to be fed up or pissed off.

AVB is the new Hitler - always invoked when arguments fail...
