Can I just point out that many footballers don't actually use their official twitter and facebook pages, but have companies do it for them. Someone I know works for one of the companies. So it could just be a disgruntled worker.

And I still don't get the point of Twitter :)

Nothing good seems to come of it, footballers are constantly getting in trouble using it, peoples accounts are constantly getting hacked, people create false accounts in the name of some celebrity or another to post drivel and so on and so forth.

Worst of all there seems to be countless people trawling it and hanging off every tweet as if it were gospel. Its an acknowledged breeding ground for bullshit.

The main thing I don't get is who actually cares if Joey Barton just curled one out and has tweeted the dimensions of the resulting turd? Who really gives a flying fuck what joe bloggs, or even a footballer/celebrity 'tweets' that he's up to or what their thoughts are on any given subject?

Is it like Facebook? People get addicted to getting as many followers as possible or something?

Don't have it, don't want it, won't get it.

Kind of ironic that the first 4 letters spell twit.

I know where you're coming from but as a source of news/rumours it's quite interesting.

It's not just footballers spouting rubbish, there are some insightful opinions and news stories that get posted.

Strange that whoever has his Blackberry types and spells exactly like him. It's him, I'm 100% sure.

I'll take your word for it. It must be just the bullshit and bollocks which finds its way onto SC :)

This is his latest this morning. Spelling and grammar are better. Either hacked, drunk or realises he's cocked up and gonna make out its stolen. Good night's sleep is a good one if he's going for the stolen scenario...

It is more addictive than facebook, I use facebook maybe twice a week at most and even that much bores me.

Twitter is superb IMO, yes there are a lot of twats and porn but you get them all over the net

For breaking news Twitter is hard to beat

There were several professional footballers posting that Ade's account was hacked and it wasn't him.

See no reason not to believe them.

And yes, Twitter is very addictive.

Stan Collymore and Rio Ferdinand have recieved a ton of racist abuse recently, and then when the authorities post to the individual saying the police will be in touch, they suddenly start grovelling for an apology.

Some young dude was in court this week over it too.

We are getting the #yidfam movement going at the moment, pretty good fun with all the yiddo's, and always nice to perve over the female spurs fans ;-)
