Not knowing much about French football, is it really likely that PSG need a replacement for Rabiot before allowing him to leave?
No, not with the players they have on their books, but saying that, they seem to want to get rid of Cabaye and Motta wants to leave so in which case i can't see them getting rid of all three. I really think we should look to take one or two from PSG, Lavezzi wants to leave as well and i would be very, very happy if we brought in him and Cabaye. And nether would cost that much, Lavezzi is apparently available for 7/8 mil.

Thank you GH (y) .. I'll admit I know very little about any of those guys, except for Cabaye, who I'd love us to sign.

I like this kid, but when it comes down to McCarthy on a permanent vs him on a loan with no option to buy, McCarthy is the easy choice. Even if the deals were the same, I would take McCarthy as a player over Rabiot.

Careful here. IMO PSG is using this to strengthen the relationship with Spurs, ahead of moving for the likes of Lloris & Eriksen.

Goodwill gets you nowhere with Levy. It all comes down to price, pay the crazy high fee that we will sell for and we don't care who the club is if they are outside the PL.

Well, if your goal is to get players from him in the future, you certainly don't want to get on his bad side, like Man Utd in the Berbatov saga.

Who that Utd have sold since Berba joined would we have wanted to buy though?

Frankly i don't think we should look to buy cast away players from the top teams, rather compete with them when signing the up and coming players from other teams.

I was talking about the players Man Utd wanted to buy from us, like Modric and Bale. If PSG want to buy Eriksen and Lloris in the future, I'd advise them to stay on Levy's good side.

If you're talking about Rabiot then he is an up and coming player

Yesterday showed how important a player like him would be. We can't rely on any cm other than Mason and Bentaleb to play how Poch wants them to. Vital we get another ball recycler who can link defence and attack at a decent pace

Shame we can't recall Carroll. Having Mason, Bentaleb, Rabiot, Carroll and Dembele would give us very good options in midfield without being woefully short whenever Mason and/or Bentaleb are unavailable, and allow us to move Capoue and Paulinho on.

Unfortunately that is all pie in the sky.

Interesting if true. I guess having that Prem experience on the resume is certainly a plus, but I do still find it a bit strange he still wants to push considering how much playing time he's received from them lately.

Funny thing then that Dembele played most of the game when Spurs beat Chelski 5-3 ...as a CMF...

Does seem odd given he is getting a fair amount of time at the moment.....wonder if it is tied to his nutter of a mum influencing things...

If that has some truth in it, he hate it so much in Paris even when he has playing time in a CL team (rich as hell in that) and a team he trained from, he still want to leave...makes you wonder what's the state in PSG or Rabiot's head or both.

Also just mainly us the team that's been mentioned as a possible destination for so long means no buyout to me as other teams don't want to waste time on it, unlike us who does have a real need for the bridge period.
