It is worrying if we do want him but can't get him over the line because a deal is too difficult. It's one thing if Barca come in, but they seem not interested anymore. Isn't it Levy's job to get difficult deals done.

I can see him signing for one of our rivals either now or in the summer, and play a part in knocking us out in a semi final while we bring on our bargain buys from the Championship.

It's the sort of thing that happens to us lol.

Tottenham is doing the forcing

Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham have recently renewed their foot calls to the Capital Club. According to our information, the English have recently sent a transfer offer to Paris Saint-Germain.

Mauricio Pocchetino , the coach of Spurs, has also spoken with the Parisian community to inform him of the project of the club and he would have ensured a place holder. Tottenham offers a signing bonus of 5 million euros and a salary of 7.5 million per year, which is huge given the pay grid of the London club. Former Parisians Serge Aurier and Lucas are also trying to convince Adrien Rabiot to join them this winter.

On the Parisian side, Paris Saint-Germain, who maintains good relations with Spurs president Daniel Levy, favors a departure for Tottenham. After losing Mousa Dembélé to Guangzhou, the London club is ready to pay a nice transfer fee this winter to strengthen his midfield. Adrien Rabiot meanwhile hesitates a lot: on the one hand he likes the English capital a lot and would be delighted to join his ex-teammates; on the other hand, he saw himself rather join the Liverpool Jurgen Klopp if one day he had to go to the Premier League.

If a player thinks a club is beneath him, then it’s very hard to change their mind.

He's dead to me.

Well anyway, now that's done with we can move. Who would have thought we would all get excited about a transfer that was never a transfer.

Well, I read the "difficult"-part as Rabiot holding out for other clubs. In that case it's not much Levy can do. I can see a host of elite clubs being interested and we're probably a far down in that pecking order.

To be fair this was always a long shot and a lot of domino bricks would have to fall our way for it to materialize.

The varying ITK is fascinating to me, I find myself hoping JJ's isn't up to date but deep down I know that's not the case.

There isn't only one decent midfielder in the world so I'm not too worried if we loose out on him. Personally the fact the JJ is reiterating what Poch said about making moves this week is a positive thing.

I was referring to certain past deals, like Alan Hutton, who the press and everybody else had said was off, except i had been told that the opposite was true....ive no idea regarding Rabiot or any others as of yet but football transfers are fluid and things can change at any moment....YIDS

James McCarthy has just got fit maybe we’ll loan him in or maybe Schneiderlin. That’s basically where we’re at right now. No player performing a key role in their team is going to be sold mid season (unless you pay over the odds, which we won’t). Everyone else we seem to rate is way beyond our capabilities price wise. Rabiot made a bit of sense but always felt he’d see us as step down and seeing as he’s on a free in summer he’ll feel he can wait and join an elite club.
