Just because we're well stocked doesn't mean there's no room for improvement.

Defensive side is 100% fine.
Creative side leaves a little to be desired. Dembele, for all his great qualities, isn't particularly damaging with his passing. Winks looks very good, but he's still inexperienced and coming off a serious ankle injury. Onomah has shown nothing at a high level.

30 million pounds today is what 10 million pounds was 5 years ago.

Good points, well made.

I particularly agree about potentially needing another midfielder with a good range of passing. As you say Dembele is many things, but an elegant passer of the ball he is not.

He's currently starting in midfield for Portugal right now. Although i still don't think there is anything in this link. On another note, Bernardo is so gawd damn good. He has such a high work effort, constantly pressing Russias defence. He is going to tare it up in the PL next season. City are a joke.

I don't know if anyone watched the U21 game yesterday but the guy we should be looking at from Sporting is Daniel Podence, like a young Griezmann.

That kid seems a right pain in the ass to those defenders. I get less Griezmann and more Hazard-type of disruption. He is big bottomed and tiny with amazing acceleration and change of direction. Not quite the feathery touch of Hazard however. Griezmann's disruption is of the backline and with straight pace. This guy is pulling the whole fucking team out of shape and sending them into panic a la Hazard. Nice shout by you.

Amazing power in his shooting with a short back lift and accuracy as well.

It would be like signing a short, 2017-version of Ginola. On speed. I absolutely LOVE it! I loved the clip so much I didn´t get (too) annoyed by the horrendous music either. The best youtube-player this Silly Season! Love this player so much, that even if we go and get Messi, Ronaldo, Bale, Modric, Costa, Lemar AND M´bappe this window, I will be kind of disappointed if we don´t get this little fellow too. Thanks for sharing mate! <3 :-D

Stylistically, for anybody who hasn't seen him play, he is quite a lot like Moutinho, not necessarily world class at anything, but very good at nearly everything. Very busy athletically and will get stuck in a lot, has 17 caps for Portugal and I reckon he would have more, if it wasn't for Moutinho himself keeping him out of the side.

Scored 6 in 36 all comps this year, so a strike rate of 1 in 6 which is not bad for a central (often deeper sitting) midfielder... For 15-20 mill I would be down, he isn't young but we do need some experience in he side I feel, he would be good for a player like Winks

What I feel we've been lacking is better passing from deep to set up Eriksen/whoever of the attacking players. Dembele is excellent, but sometimes a quick pass is better than him carrying the ball through the park just to give the ball to Eriksen.

Regarding his goal stats, I think that a few are penalties.

The future of Adrien Silva in Sporting remains open and if the midfielder is a desirable player for several English clubs Tottenham seems to be taking significant steps to try to hire the Portuguese international.

Having made known that he was willing to disburse, in a first contact, 20 million for Adrien, a proposal that was rejected by SAD promptly, the Spurs went up the parade and are now closer to the pretensions of Sporting, letting the responsible sportinguists know that Can reach 30 million euros, in a proposal of 25 million euros, plus five per objectives.

An offer that approaches the 35 million euros that Sporting intends to fit to negotiate the rights of its captain.

Just seen JJ has poo poo this previously. Not sure, if this is still the case.
Personally, I believe there is some interest, otherwise I don't see this continued story from Abola.
Whether it will materialise , to be seen

Agree 28 seems old for us. But from the player profile, would be good addition for us - Captain of Sporting Lisbon, Euro winner, plenty of European experience. But 25m for a CM, not so sure.

Ofcourse many media lie. But not all reports can be discarded all the time. I will discard this rumour not because of Portugeuse media, but because , I know we won't pay 25m for a 28 year old
