Here's a reply someone got from itv

Thought I would question the decision of ITV not to show tomorrow nights game, here was their somewhat vague response.

"Thank you for your recent email regarding Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League.

Unfortunately we do not actually own the rights at this stage in the competition, and have to buy the matches on an individual basis. It all depends on the draw when we get to that stage, and whether or not we own the rights to show the matches.

We didn't show all of the qualifiers last year either, however on this occasion we have chosen to show the 2nd leg match against AEL Limassol. This match will bring an end to the tie, and will determine which team progresses to the next stage of the competition.

I do understand your frustration but I hope that this has allowed for you to accept, or at least understand the reasons behind our match selections.

I wish you the very best of luck in Cyprus tomorrow night, hopefully Spurs can bring back a healthy lead to defend at White Hart Lane next week.

You may also want to check whether BT Sport are covering any matches as they also have rights to the Europa League. Their website is:http://sport.bt.com

I hope that helps.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to contact us here at ITV."

Thanks for that, at least they got a response lol

Aye just noticed that and edited my reply. Thanks anyway, will be interesting to see if I get a similar response. Do you know when that that response from ITV was issued?

Vorm

Naughton Vert Dier Davies

Paulino Sandro

Lamela Eriksen Holtby

Soldado
Pretty sure we will see that with other world cup players coming in and getting some match fitness.

I sincerely hope we don't risk Eriksen for this game. Completely unnecessary.

Looking forward to the #THFC press conference this afternoon. Got a lot of questions for Señor Pochettino

I'm sure the questions will involve MS, AT and Pochs Spanish-to-English language conversion.

Couple of points because I think some people are taking the piss.

1, This is not an easy game

2, it is likely to be above 30 degrees

3, We have to qualify for the group stages.

After the poor game on Saturday we need the team to play and get used to the tactics and each other in the set up. Strong team is a must for me!

Townsend:"This time it’s special for me again. I’m half Cypriot & to go out & play in Cyprus for the first time will be quite special"

Had no idea he has Cyprus roots...

But others need games as well.

Lamela, Holtby and Townsend behind Soldado is more than good enough IMO.

Exactly. Everyone needs game time and particularly the players who were in the WC. Why risk your best and most important outfield player?

I also think the idea of striking up an understanding is overstated. Particularly from one game. These things take time and a EL qualifier or group stage game is no indication of PL performance as we saw last season. Townsend was superb and Soldado did what we had expected of him, but then straight away back in the PL it was a completely different story.

Let the WC players get fitness and play the others who are hungry to prove a point. The most important factor is attitude. Poch needs the players who take the field to work as hard as they would on a Sat and our quality will see us win, even without our best players.
