I find myself actually slightly agreeing with this, but that's a huge statement, and we've only seen it for about an hour.
I'd argue that we saw it last season.
Our record without him;

Southampton 2-1
Swansea 3-1
Burnley 2-0
Watford 4-0

When he returned he scored 10 in just 7 games

The City 2-0 as well. We're very capable without him.

I did think we missed him at Old Trafford this season though.

It's not a terrible problem to have that Son plays well and plays even better when Kane's not on. Makes me feel more secure to be honest.

It's not a secret that Kane has been a little out of form for a few weeks now.

Son has been scoring more goals, and I think he's about as good as we could ever do as a second striker to play if Kane gets injured. His finishing can be equally as lethal. Plus Moura could probably then step into the side with Lamela.
Still a good attack.

I think what was said above about teams basically doubling up on Kane is probably true. He gets marked out of games a lot of the time, now. Still incredible, but he hasn't been his usual self just lately.
He's looked a little frustrated at times. Snatching at shots as well. It can happen, I think a little rest will do him good. As long as it's not long-term injury

Maybe - Kane’s been a touch down recently. But Bournemouth didn’t prepare to play against a Spurs without Kane. Other team will be better prepared.
I doubt they will, because of the stock vague explanation that will be coming from Poch regarding how long he'll be out for.
It pisses people off but it's the right thing to do.
Swansea will have a good idea he won't be playing but that's about it.

I'd argue it'll be quite difficult to predict how we will line up.

Poch might opt for a more fluid approach up there.

Overall a good game. We were slow to start... Very slow. Should have been 2-0 down. We need to start away games with more focus and taking less risk.

But we really showed character to break Bournemouth down... We scored really good team goals tonight.

Think the team needed that confidence boost. Fingers crossed for Kane.

Come on these threads wouldn’t be nearly as fun without the usual suspects wetting their panties, calling Poch a one-idea hack; calling Dele overrated and shit Etc etc...

I mean today we had dozens of wonderful suggestions that we use all three subs by halftime. Because that’s sane and sensible foootball management isn’t it?! :D

It’s all part of the magic

This thread becomes toxic because certain posters are more focused on having digs at people because of their reaction during the game and handing out an ”I told you so” than actually discussing our play at that moment.

I honestly don't believe many here have even been to a football match because they must cry tears of sadness if they do.

We might as well just lock the match threads like I said earlier because it will never change, people will always have a reaction during a game because football is an emotion-based sport and it seems some people want to desperately remove that element because it hurts their feelings.

Thank god these people don't police football grounds, they would be soulless.

Bullshit bullshit bullshit bullshit BULLSHIT.

The reason the match thread "becomes toxic" is because people LIKE YOU fill it incessantly with with rage-filled expressions of hate at OUR OWN PLAYERS and do it 20-30 minutes into a match.

It's because people (all men, never women) CANNOT CONTROL THEIR RAGE and splutter out infantile, furious expressions of bile at OUR OWN PLAYERS.

It's the fault of people like you. You. Not people who, often-snidely, point out what an absolute fuckwit you have been, all over every match thread.

I scarcely ever post during the match. Partly, that's because I'd rather watch the football than parade "my opinion" all over a forum. But mostly, it's because people like you fuck up every match thread with your vicious, hate-filled filth and rage.

Take some responsibility, you coward.

Go back and read my posts in this thread, I will be waiting for your apology that will likely never come.

Also, again ironic how you talk about people not being able to control their rage and then you have a meltdown like a toddler throwing his toys out of the pram, as I would expect from you at this point.

Also going to discard your delusional sexism in that post as well, "All men, never women." spoken like a true beta male if I have ever seen one.

You really are an angry little man, pathetic really, you sound like you can't control your emotions more than anyone here quite frankly.

Eriksen, ali, lamela, son and moura - these 5 can create havoc in the absence of kane with their unpredictable movement

Eriksen was majestic when he dropped deeper after Lamela came on. Bournemouth couldn't deal with him.

He needs to play in the midfield 3 more often imo, not as a 10 or on the wing. Play him next to 2 of Dembele /Dier/Wanyama for the muscle and he can pull the strings.
