If this is over then don't bother dealing with Inter again. Hopefully we have a good alternative lined up. I imagine Torres is most likely but we'll see what FP does.

Man, Inter really are teases. Whether we secure Bastoni or not, lets promise to never deal with them again?

There are levels to it though. I think that is too definitive and would really be throwing Inter under the bus were they to sell now.

Definitive for me would be his agent saying nothing more than "He's staying"

He's said far more than he needed to if Bastoni was staying put in my humble opinion

Agent: He's staying
Player: I'm staying
SC Poster: I still think there's a chance

Tbf both Lukaku and Delph said they were definitely staying at their clubs and then both were sold the next week. I think it's dead now but nobody can say for sure

Time to move on. We've tried but contrary to what we've heard he's obviously not keen to move amd would much rather stay.

Onto the next target please.

Jeeez. We need to block Inters number pronto. Thank the lord we got Nicola Berti before they decided to have a campaign to constantly jerk us about.

If it's over then Ali G and co will be briefed by the club as such. Will wait until then before I join in the throwing of toys out the pram and shit at the walls.

I heard on a podcast this morning (might have been the latest Extra Inch one) that there are only two Italians in the Premier League!

That seems unbelievably low! Jorginho and Ogbonna - and that's it. Anyone confirm if that's right?

I suspect Lukaku's comments came before Chelsea slapped £100m on the table to sign him. Looking back his 'I'm staying' quotes were from June and he left in August, in a very quick turnaround.

Whereas with Bastoni our proposal has likely been on the table for a while and Inter now feel they can raise enough funds from other players.

This is the one for me... Let's get on the phone to Gvardiol...

Unless we can haggle them down, Leipzig are not going to let him go on the cheap. He will be incredibly expensive, even more so than Bastoni, and I'm not sure if FP or Conte want to blow more than half our budget (150M) on one player considering we have other positions to fill.

I have a feeling it will be Torres; there's just too many variables in our favour that make it likely.

I tend to agree with this.

Conversely I don't think the agent would come out and say 'he's leaving' if Inter said they need to sell. As that would compromise the size of the deal. Inter/the agent want to make it seem like they have been forced to sell by the size of the offer they receive.
