If this is over then don't bother dealing with Inter again. Hopefully we have a good alternative lined up. I imagine Torres is most likely but we'll see what FP does.

I havent been invested in this so I dont know the ins and outs of the 'saga' but what have Inter done wrong? They dont want to sell. Its only been a couple of weeks, not like its been the saga of the window. I may have missed something ofcourse.

I’d treat a statement from a player’s agent with the same sincerity as something from a politician!

Until Bastoni signs a new deal with Inter or we sign a different LCB anything can still happen IMHO.

We need to trust in Conte and Paratici that they’ll deliver the right player, whether that’s Bastoni or AN Other.

There were elements of the fan base getting in a pickle over missing out on Diaz in January, and look how that worked out!

I’ve never been more relaxed for a transfer window!

Fabio and Antonio have got this!

Not hugely keen on Torres as next target, although would make sense if we can include GLC in a deal. All the noise we've heard about Gvardiol is that he is very likely to stay put. Don't think Botman is mobile enough for us. I quite like the idea of Ndicka, personally

Rumours are inter were happy to sell, but have now changed the goalposts.

Who knows really?

My order of preference for the LCB spot:

Gvardiol
Ndicka
Bremer
.
.
.
Botman
Torres
Lenglet

Don't want any of the bottom 3 though really, none are suitable for our system or the PL, though Botman would possibly be ok as a CCB.

If Torres is the next one on the list then I hope we put the saved funds towards a top CM and Striker.

Agree on this re Torres. Id love Bremer - just looks like he would add steel. Then again I think the trio of defenders are fine as they are but we clearly need another to rotate across the backline.

We need someone who's dominant in the air.

N'dicka seems like the perfect alternative to me.

Agree with your top two but Bremer isn't anywhere near good enough on the ball to start with us at LCB, would prefer Davies to him there

They need to make a profit this window. It seems they suggested that the player would be Bastoni and encouraged bids. Per ITK we've had talks with the player and club but it seems now they were stringing us along hoping to raise the funds elsewhere and may have found a way.

Whilst they are just looking after their own interests that's now three times we've been burned in negotiations with Inter. Firstly Skriniar, then Lautaro and now Bastoni. I think it's fair for us to be annoyed with them.

Maybe Inter were happy to sell as they clearly need the cash but Bastoni didnt want to go so its his agent telling them at this meeting they had.

Maybe we should go for Martinez then - they need to sell someone. I wouldnt be surprised if they get Lukaku on loan for a small fee and sell Martinez.

According to WLB they encouraged us to bid and now the agent is saying he's not for sale. They've now messed us about with Skriniar, Martinez and Bastoni. I think when it keeps happening with the same club it's clear there is a problem

Lol, stop putting yourselves through Mental Gymnastics trying to spin a quote made by an agent to fit what we want. It’s not happening. Move on. As it stands, it’s time to start convincing yourselves the backup option is still good and will improve us.

It's obvious imo.

Bastoni doesn't want to leave.

Not sure it's obvious. It could be Inter who have turned around and said to the agent, we aren't selling.

Inter might have PSG waving 60 mill at them for Skriniar. Or Chelsea might be waving 70 mill for Martinez.

At the end of the day, Inter get to choose who they want to sell.

I hope we steer clear of Inter in the future. they are a waste of time to deal with.
