I'm not even judging her football ability by her looks though? So I cannot say someone is attractive or looks good in the kit in the photoshoot? Look I get it if I said something actually sexualising her or saying 'she should be in the kitchen not the pitch' and literally demeaning her football ability, but I didn't. This is what I don't get and never will.Don't want to get too deep into it here but this argument is somewhat akin to the "All Lives Matter" refrain in that it slightly misses the point.
The reason why it's okay for people to comment about the attractiveness or otherwise of a male player is because, overwhelmingly, that is not what male footballers are judged on. They are judged first and foremost on their ability as footballers.
That has not always been the case for women footballers. And is still not always the case. So the more that football fans can do - or avoid doing - to help change ingrained attitudes, the better. That means we have to be little more careful. And yes, that does mean being somewhat PC. It's a small price to pay.
I'm not going on about this anymore because this could go on all day. I totally understand what you're saying. Let's leave it at that.
