Definitely the kind of young talent we should be signing. Do 1 of these a year keep the young talent building

I'll be honest I think I'd have heard if we'd have shown an interest, unless it's just the club monitoring the situation.

Would probably be the best signing for a rebuild we could make. Young, HG, bags of potential and a Spurs fan.

Definitely one we would look back on and wish we had snapped up imo.

yup, even though you're obv itk think you're even more itk on this one from what you've said previously. based on your opinion it sounds like someone we should be targeting but i get the impression he's currently only a potential backup option (maddison?) as it stands.

I just have a feeling it won’t happen. I can’t help but feel our focus is 100% Maddison and Scott is more an afterthought.

I hope Postecoglou gives the youngsters more of a chance. Devine has been here a fair while and has hardly had a sniff. If Scott comes in he'll be competing for the same minutes.

Think the latter, can't remember the source, but there was something over the weekend that effectively said we'd asked BC to keep us in the loop on his status.

Would love it if we could somehow find the funds to buy him and loan him to a Burnley or other progressive PL team for a year. He has such a unique set of talents and could be a star in a couple of years.

My total guess is that Leicester will try to buy him to replace Maddison. Maybe Southampton if JWP leaves.

If we do not sign him now we will probably be trying to sign him in a couple of years for four times the amount. Come on Levy have a bit of vision.

He definitely will play in the EPL. There is no sense for him to play in the Championship.

It seems quite a few jurnos have been fed info about Ndombele, and not Lo Celso, getting a shot at redemption. I think I even read one saying the plan all along was to reintegrate him, which was clearly a club line. I’m sure that’s more to do with no clubs interested but still it’s a shame if he ends up getting in the way of giving youth players game time.

Considering we will still need a winger, one or two CD and a GK plus pay for Porro I just don’t see us having the money for Scott even if we sell some players.

100%. This is the last summer he’s going to be available in the 20M range. Will be 2-3x this amount next time we get a look.

loan him out another season or two, but these are the types of assets a club like ours rarely has the inside track on and have to capitalize.

I put that down to Lo Celso having options but Ndombele not so his agent putting out that line, either way I wouldn't want him getting in the way if Alex Scott was a realistic option.

They obviously know each other well and are similar ages and play roughly the same way so is Scott better than Devine ceiling wise? If we are willing to think about Scott surely that's a good sign Devine will get a chance under Ange?

I think he's a fabulous prospect mate, but he's only 19. I don't see many PL teams giving him enough minutes next season.

Edit: possibly a Burnley or similar.

Yeah and saw that and I think it was the BBC or maybe Ornstein? Seem to remember it being a fairly decent source.
Said that we'd asked to be kept informed of his situation.

Would Devine actually tell his mate that signing for us is a good idea? Both are highly regarded but Scott has kicked on precisely because he's been given the first team opportunities that Devine hasn't.

I've not seen enough of him to know if we should sign him or not, but I don't think him being mates with Devine is as big a pull as it might be. Hopefully Ange reintegrates the youth properly and we see some minutes for Alfie and others this season.
