My oldest brother dated a girl from North London for a few years and her dad was a Yid. He went to games with him when he visited England and became a huge Spurs fan. I would occasionally follow for a bit to have something to talk to him about and relate since I was rediscovering an interest in soccer/football. It wasn't until the I watched the Chelski game on the 5th of November at 10 am hungover on a Sunday that my passion changed.

Watching the atmosphere and occasion changed me such that I can't go back ever. I've been accused of having a sickness for Spurs by my girlfriend. Oh well, if she can deal with my passion for VCU (Virginia Commonwealth) in college basketball (Alumni for undergrad and soon to be grad school)and Alabama (born and bred) in College football then she can deal with Spurs.

Regardless of anything else. I love the passion that Spurs, VCU, and Alabama bring to the respective sports. Winning is secondary in my mind to bringing passion and pride.

When my dad was at prep school in 1967, the fa cup final was on the TV. it was Chelsea vs Tottenham! Half the school decided to support Chelsea and the other half Spurs. My dad luckily chose Spurs, and Spurs also won that FA cup final 2-1!

I supported Spurs as soon as I was taught about them from my dad! Been a total yid since then! my younger brother is a spurs fan aswell, i educated him about the yid army!

One of my mates middle name is Tottenham aswell! his dad is die hardcore yid!!

My family have always supported Spurs, but when I was five or six I went through a brief 6 month period when I supported West Ham. I'm Jewish and my extended family were all quite religious, so I thought I'd annoy them by supporting a team with "Ham" in the name (yes, I know that Tottenham has ham in it, but I was young). I grew out of it and have supported Spurs ever since.

This would also be Homers reason for supporting Spurs.
Being born in Old Street meant Arse were my nearest team.
Most of my family lived in White Hart Lane so for my birthday (oct 67) i was taken to Spurs v Sheff Utd. A glory hunting 9 year old.
Been a yid ever since.
Contrary to popular belief there have been plenty of good times.

I've been a spurs supporter since i was 7 just cos my dad was a spurs fan, I've been supporting the lilywhites for 15 years. My younger brother is also a spurs fan. All my uncles on my dad's side support spurs and so do my cousins, just a big spurs family.

First game I went to was a premiership game in 93 Spurs 4-1 Oldham, Sheringham got 2 pens, Anderton and Andy Turner. Now I'm a season ticket holder.

Became a Spurs fan at around 5, heavily influenced by my dad and the Klinsmann/Sheringham partnership.

It'll be interesting to see how many new Spurs fans there'll be in 10-15 years who'll say they started supporting spurs when they saw the Keane/Berbatov partnership, or seeing them win the League Cup final in 2008.

I was born and brought up in Tottenham and only left aged 19, my first game was aged 7 in 1978 and it was my uncle who brought me to the game, it was only a short walk from my house in Bruce Grove and I loved every minute of it and was hooked, my father never liked football, he was into his gaelic sports, but I used to pester him to bring me, unfortunately for him he couldn't complain it was a long way to go.!!!

Have always lived in the borough and I'm not sure if I could ever stray too far from WHL. A proud North Londoner and a proud Spur.

I'm the only Yid in the family. Got three older bro's and the 2 eldest are Liverpool fans cos they started watching footy in the early 80s when Liverpool won everything. The youngest of my brothers decided when he was about 9 that he didnt wanna support Liverpool, so a family friend started taking him to watch Ipswich in the season the season before they won the old Division Two. Being an impressionable 5 year old, i decided i didnt wanna be a Liverpool fan either and so began a comical competition among my brothers' mates to make me support their teams.

As I live around Milton Keynes there were fans of all sides (Liverpool, Ar5ena1, Manure, Ipswich, even Oxford) but when the summer of 1990 came aroud Gazza and Lineker were in the limelight for England and so I became a Spurs fan at the age of 5. Got my first shirt for my 6th birthday and never looked back.

I must admit tho that in the time between me deciding not to support Liverpool and 'discovering' my love for Tottenham, I did support various teams for a few days here, a fortnight there, often on the basis of how much I liked their strip or how much of their page was full in my brothers' Pannini sticker album. At one point during Italia '90 I supported Egypt and I think Bristol Rovers must have reached a play-off final or something cos I'm sure I supported them for a couple of hours in the middle of May!!

Anyways, Yids forever.

There is actually no explanation for why I chose Tottenham. My mum used to support them when she was young because of Martin Peters, so maybe it was in the genes. I can remember it was when I was about 4 though, because I got my first Spurs shirt on my 5th birthday.

I've always supported Spurs because my dad supported them. I have to admit, though, I did actually support Liverpool for a day. I was about 6, and we were in the car. Dad turned on the radio, only to hear 'Spurs 1, Chelsea.....6'. At which point I started crying, had a massive go at my dad for making me support such a rubbish team, and told him I was supporting Liverpool. I saw sense the next morning!

My best mate when I was five was a Tottenham fan, so I became one, only to find out after that that my dad was (is) also a Tottenham fan. He didn't want to influence me to become a Tottenham fan for some reason. He just wanted me to support whoever I wanted, and lucky enough I ended up as a Tottenham fan as well.

My dad's from Lincolnshire, so he supports Lincoln City as a second team, so I support them as a second team as well.
