News from our OS that Amazon have launched a Tottenham Hotspur brand store across Amazon websites in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain.

https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2020/september/club-launches-new-amazon-brand-store/

I was hoping the partnership might allow access to prime members to slight discounts on the replica kits (cue the optimistic ratings!), but for now there seems to be a limited selection of clothes and merchandise on the brand store on Amazon...

Interesting to see how our collaboration with Amazon is increasing, and wonder where it could go next. No doubt the club would love to sell the flagship stadium naming rights sponsorship to such a big name as Amazon.

You have to give the club credit for being able to organise commercial deals they are top league for that.
But in other areas of the business it leaves a lot to be desired, curious how all the effort is put in when the revenue stream is coming in.

Oh boy, we've really started to become that 'All American franchise" by selling alcohol as well

Seems like it would also be a great way to flog our kits but I guess there's some legal/technical reason why we can't do that through Amazon?

I'd imagine the likely reason being that Nike make the decisions as to where and how much the kits are sold for. One would think that the biggest selling item from the spurs store are the replica kits, so they're missing a trick not making it available to sell in all possible vendors especially in the world's largest shop.

I guess it depends on how much we make on each kit, but Amazon will want a cut/fee as well, so reduces the profit.

What's this got to do with being American? I don't think you understand what a franchise is either.

We already sell bath plugs, clothes pegs and a whole array of other shite so I don't see why this makes any difference. If it makes the club money and that goes towards keeping our top players then so be it. It's not like we're selling sex dolls or something really embarrassing. If someone wants to buy their mate a bottle of crap overpriced gin with a spurs sticker on it then more fool them. I don't see why you're bothered about it.
