Dear Mr Berbatov

Please let me take this opportunity to thank you for the immense pleasure you have bestowed on me via your deft touch, balance, grace, poise and sheer brilliance. The memories I have of you will live on through the ages.

You have played a major role in restoring this club to its right full place by applying the ethos via your innate talent founded by Bill Nick, and undertaken by Villia, Ardiles, Waddle, Hoddle, Gascoinge, Klinsmann, and Ginola.

I feel I must draw reference to the names mentioned previously. These great talents have represented the club with gusto, passion, honour just as you have.

They have one thing in common, the fact they have never won a championship with this club. And this is where you can become an icon like Blanchflower, Mackay and Greaves. I realize it must sound far fetched but Ramos, Levy, Enic, the Support, and some exceptional recnet personnel acquired; Woodgate, Hutton, Modric can lead us to make a real tilt at the premiership

I hear you all say, this writer is mad, short sighted, deluded. NO berba!!! if you join Manchester United you will join the ranks of Tevez, Park, Giggs. Chelsea: Sidwell, Pizarro, Wright-Phillips. In other words an also ran (someone who is not an automatic selection). The Spanish and Italian leagues are not even worthy of reference. England is the place to play, London the place to live.

We are YOUR club. We offer you the best coach in Europe, ambition, unconditional love, and the most important factor, the crux of the argument - YOU ARE THE MAIN MAN. You will be the driving force behind any potential future triumphs, the focal point, the daddy. DON'T BE A FACE IN THE CROWD BE OUR HERO

Yours Sincerley

Yeah Tevez is class and Giggs has been a truely great player over the years.

All I would say to him is look at what could happen next year. Wait until we've signed a better midfield, and Ledley is back, and see what we can achieve next year. If it goes tits up it's not like the top teams wont be after him still.

God this summer we could lose our 2 best players in King and Berba...

I feel you are missing the point. Ronaldo, Rooney and Ferdinand are the driving force behind that side. Where in theory would berba figure.... Oh yeah with the other squad players

I wouldn't exactly say he'd be just with some squad players. But I do think he could end up like Carrick. He doesn't exactly win plaudits for winning United the title. He's not quite as big a star as some of the players is he.

Berbatov craves the adulation, endorsement, and praise. I do not think he will perform the role that earns the previously mentioned at any of the clubs he is being linked with. Modric is evidence of the pulling power of our coach. My letter is urging him to display patience

Guy I appreciate your insightful and thoughtful coment. Cheers

All it takes is an injury(Eduardo) and it then it all goes pearshaped. People have to remember that he doesnt support Spurs, its just a job to him. Like anyone else if a better offer comes up you move on. Wouldnt you if you could double or triple your salary?

Wouldn't he have just gone straight to United if he wanted to before he signed for us. He did turn them down to join us after all.

If I was a professional footballer, this would really cross my mind.....(I hope..)

Wow. Another thread.

Well maybe it is. But there appears to be an acceptance that this supreme player will leave imminently.

Maybe you do not understand the power that these pages hold in the current climate. I am not for one moment suggesting that he will stay, but our opines expressed on spurscommunity will be absorbed by the appropriate internal department.

I would rather express my feelings in the form of the letter, than belittle any effort to keep this man with sanctimonious one line responses.

You think this has an effect?

Doubt it, but good luck. I am just looking forward to seeing what Ramos can create. I want a great team, not one stand-out player.

Fair play. I feel exactly the same way, I am a desiple of Ramos and I am convinced that he will construct a formidable with or without berba. BUT surely you would rather keep him??

Gin+Tonic 14, I believe you like a lot of us believe that 1) Berb will go and 2) based on attitude etc, it will probably be best for the club.

However I am not going to knock your letter as I know it is coming from your heart and not your head. No one on this forum knows whether it will reach him or not, but good luck for trying.

Rest assured that Spurs will always be here with or without Berbs.
