Gin+Tonic 14, I believe you like a lot of us believe that 1) Berb will go and 2) based on attitude etc, it will probably be best for the club.

However I am not going to knock your letter as I know it is coming from your heart and not your head. No one on this forum knows whether it will reach him or not, but good luck for trying.

Rest assured that Spurs will always be here with or without Berbs.

Thank you sir.

Look, this is pathetic. Berba is gone. Tottenham lives on. Whether he becomes just another player at some big club or not, who cares. Sure I'll tune in to watch him play, but he isn't bigger than our club and at this point, people are making him seem like it. I watched us play without him the other day and we had nothing to play for, not even a home crowd and we still played damn well. Sure it was a relegation side, but it was the same relegation side that almost stunned us at home. We will move on. Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur. No player should rise above that.

it would be good if he let the fans know his intentions on saturday. Maybe he doesnt know what exactly will happen but it would be nice to know if he wants to leave or not. although i do understand that it may come back to bite him in the arse if he says he wants to go and it doesnt go through but at least that way we could all give him a massive send off.

im still undecided as to whether id prefer berba to stay or etoo. i believe etoo is a better "striker" but berba as an all round player certainly is class. and i dont think its a coincidence that keane has beaten his goalscoring records 2 years in a row either. alot of people have been saying about berba as a single player but it needs to be said that he brings the best out of certain players. yes he moans and can sulk but thats only because he expects perfection, as any player should do.

I'm a bit disappointed guys. I thought this was a forum for people to speak their minds. I have my own views on Berbatov and they might not be exactly what G&T14 feels, but he wanted to express himself about a player who none of us can doubt has been pretty special for us. How about laying off the abuse? If you don't agree, fine, but taking the piss just makes you look small, not him.

Anyway G&T, I personally think that the chances of Berbatov staying are pretty slim. I believe that his agent is the one who pulls the strings with regard to his career. This is purely conjecture of course, but I see his choosing Spurs over United thusly: That Dantchev believed that once Berbatov moved to the Premiership, his value would skyrocket. Now, if Berbatov was at Man U when that happened, Dantchev would find it hard to cash in on his client, because although it does happen, it's less likely that a player will leave a successful club if he's made an impact.

But if Berbatov went to a lower-placed English club, once his value increased it would be easier to engineer a move away and hence cash in on DB's transfer. Personally, regardless of footballing needs, I wouldn't want someone like that as my representative. I'd want my agent to represent MY wishes, rather than using me merely to line his own pockets.

Agreed Rez, but as you said the forum is for all to speak their minds,.....including unfortunately those with small minds.

I feel you are missing the point. Ronaldo, Rooney and Ferdinand are the driving force behind that side. Where in theory would berba figure.... Oh yeah with the other squad players

Nah... Berba would be a key player. He's better than Rooney.
