Unfortunately Poch wants Toby out of the club regardless of whether we get Martial or not
Doesn't Mourhino want rid of Martial as well?
Utd are going to activate a clause on a player they don't want at the club?
Personal opinion says I don't think so.
We should wait till after the world cup, if Toby has a good one a lot of others clubs might come calling and then we have leverage.

So United being difficult but it didn't say they won't sell. Mourinho doesn't mind if they sell and he picks the team and if he don't pick him it seems a waste of a wage to keep him.
I read the two year option as a bargaining chip, if a purchaser points to the length of contract he has left as a factor in their offer they can add two years on to counter, in other words they're haggling.

Poch wants Toby gone. £80m is more than he is worth. United have never offered us a player we actually want so no surprise there. Just take they best offer and spend the cash elsewhere. Martial is a decent player but hardly a must have.

Still taking one up the ass though as per. There a main rival we should at least get what we want out of it martial being that. If they really want Toby which obviously they do that is a massive bargaining tool , if they will pay 70m for Toby with his sick record then we could have got martial especially as he wants out

It's a little but his own fault to be honest, Martial. He could have come to Spurs initially, but messed around and picked ManUtd thinking it was such a great career move. He bombed that, and now he wants to stay in the PL, but isn't allowed to. What comes around, ey?

Actually! Yanited blew us out the water with their financial package. Not his fault

Yeah, but you still make an active choice. It's usually not like the next club just happens to you as a player without the player knowing it. Point still stands, all of the sudden the presumed golden ticket has trapped him.

From what I remember we didn’t want to pay the £20m Monaco asked for them later on united came in with their ludicrously high bid

Anyway he’s still the one I want this summer. Think he’d finish our attacking line up perfectly.

Fingers staying crossed until the last second

I remember us wanting to pay 30 for him, Monaco saying he wasn’t for sale (and him signing an extension) and then Yanited coming in a month later with the big dick out and that’s all she wrote.

What? Of course they’ll activate the clause. We’re talking about a £50m+ asset here. Even if they want to sell they’ll activate the clause.

What if he gets injured or has a crap WC. I'd take the money now and run regardless of whether we get Martial in or not.

And yes Mourinho might agree to let him go but the real Utd bosses don't feel the same. I reckon he'll be sacked at the end of the season if they're not in the title race after the amount of money he's spent.
