If they allegedly want Alderweireld who we think wants out of the club, and we allegedly want Martial who we think wants out of Man U, why cant them selling us Martial be the condition to them getting our player?

They apparently don't want to sell to a rival club and I'm sure neither do we. What I don't want to see is us give in to them, but not get what we want in return. We should not bow down to them without them conceding the player coming the other way to us.

the difference from what I've seen is WE WANT TO SELL and if Utd are the only interested team willing to pay, then we sell, they don't want to sell, and not to a team that will be very close as it is to being above them with or without Martial

I'm afraid this all has a familiar feeling to to it. We obviously don't want to spend money and are messing about on transfers. Even being rejected by players for clubs not in the champions league. Have to say I have zero confidence at this point. Poch challenged Levy to take risks to move us forward and that is not happeneing.

Honestly I love Poch but he got this wrong totally, he lets his mouth run off with him. There was never going to be signings early this window, wasn't going to happen with the WC.

I don't doubt poch wanted early signings and I don't doubt Levy tried to make early signings and I don't doubt they could have made early signings had they chosen to however, I am also convinced the signings they could have made early were not the signings they wanted and the signings they wanted weren't able to be signed early, that said it is styill only July 14th, when you want to buy someone you need the player to want to come, his club want to sell, for a price you can pay and even then other clubs might come in and throw the whole thing into turmoil, as an old Prime Minister once said, events dear boy events.

Spot on, for a start both Martial and a centre back are dependent on Toby, who has been away for months. The what else? Grealish and another centre mid perhaps...The Grealish situation has been explained with Villa financial stuff and the other we have no idea who it is or if there is even a target. If we are in the same position in 2 weeks, maybe start the panic.
