I've mentioned before but I feel like Martial is one that we are willing to go down to the wire with, regardless of what signings we have already made.

I think you're right. It's hard to get big players form big clubs early. You look at all of our sales, or Madrid's sale. It often comes late, this will be no different. Hopefully as he knows the league the lack of Spurs pre season is somewhat mitigated.

Benefit of him having already been playing in the Premier League, should bed in quicker you'd hope.

he also actually might get quite the run in the team now with lukaku, lingard and rashford out for awhile, chance to impress.

I worry that precious time is being wasted courting this dude

It'll be interesting to see how this one pans out. It will probably drag on until the final days of the transfer window.
A potential Chelsea chasing his signature is worrying but I have a hunch Anthony likes the idea of joining us more.

And I dont really get how United would rather sell to Chelsea as opposed to us, and it seems as long as their approach to selling to rivals wont change then it ultimately doesnt matter if Chelsea wants him or not.

That being said I'd love him at our club. He's world class in the making. Lets just hope United wraps up another wing forward (Perisic maybe?) and has to sell to a rival due to lack of other options, Poch making the difference in favor of us (y)

Edit: spelling

In pure footballing terms, I believe we're a more attractive option for Martial than chavski. Champions League, a settled way of playing with outstanding attacking players, and a coach who builds strong relationships with players.

Whilst chavski face the loss of Hazard, Willian, Morata, Courtois etc, and will have a brand new coach.

Plus we've been after him for several seasons, and it sounds like we've been courting him assiduously throughout the summer.

If he goes to chavski, it will be about money.

If they allegedly want Alderweireld who we think wants out of the club, and we allegedly want Martial who we think wants out of Man U, why cant them selling us Martial be the condition to them getting our player?

They apparently don't want to sell to a rival club and I'm sure neither do we. What I don't want to see is us give in to them, but not get what we want in return. We should not bow down to them without them conceding the player coming the other way to us.

He doesn't want out of the club. Poch wants him out.
