Tbf there's plenty of us that have been patient for several decades so another couple of seasons are neither here nor there.

While fans have every right to boo if they wish, they pay good money to often watch dross. But because it's your right, doesn't mean you should. It's ironic that the fans that boo, bitch about our lack of success and don't appear to realize that in the past, the boo boys are largely responsible for getting managers fired. The board will gauge the atmosphere, they will be very much aware what social media are saying. Booing has never done any team any good. Players that are fragile or on low confidence already, will not be made better by booing. The opposite in-fact. Even if we're having one of our first half performances, if the crowd roars and gets behind them, that's more likely to turn the game around. We have the best manager we've ever had. We need to be very careful. I am 100% certain that if we stick with him, given a few more windows, he'll have us challenging for titles and winning cups. Sadly it's the world we live in now. Instant success. People don't know how to wait anymore.

All good points and I completely agree. I think there's an element of panic though for those that see winning trophies as the Holy Grail. We now have Newcastle obviously ready to hurl vast amounts of blood money at their sports washing endeavours and Chelsea don't seem to have dropped their spending antics post Abramovic. I think a large number of fans are thinking there's an increasingly small window of opportunity for us to get a trophy in the cabinet, and that makes them very impatient.

I might be wrong but I think that Chelsea have made quite a bit of money from player sales.

Well a new manager every season and a huge payout for the one we've just sacked isn't going to get us there any faster.

Very true, but football is a fickle mistress and it's not just the fans that are impatient for success.

Emerson was getting a lot of stick, I’m not so keen on fans singling out our own players like that. Bitch and moan about them on forums and criticise him all you like but booing him in games is a bit off.

Especially after his misplaced cross, was right in front of me. Everyone around started hurling abuse at him, I was clapping him and I noticed Conte was too

He’s a really frustrating player so I can understand people being fed up with him getting starts and messing up promising attacks. But getting on his back isn’t going to make him better, it’ll likely just make him more nervous.

Liverpool have shown that a different. more sustainable model works. What's key is the determination and focus on winning

Pre-FP and AC, I didn't think that will was there.

However, if we keep on the same path, and show a willingness to back AC (As we did with Richarlison, and even Bastoni, despite him not being available) then it's possible - it's just going to be bloody hard.

How are Newcastle doing and how many managers have they fired?

Newcastle have had more managers, and paid more compensation than Spurs.

But do go on talking tripe.

Hate the booing at half time, smacks of entitlement. The singling out of Emerson actually really made me feel sorry for the bloke, sort of thing Arsenal fans do and I hoped our fans were above that sort of thing

But Newcastle have so far only had one chosen head coach under this regime. Before the Saudi investors took over, Ashley could have sacked another 20 managers and it wouldn't have made any difference.

IMO, Harry Kane getting older is one of the main reasons people are so impatient. We don't have many more years with him.

You say I'm talking tripe then use a club that's sacked more managers than us, won nothing, and finished below is for over a decade as an example of what exactly? Is your point that it can work based on the fact they are 1 point above is right now? Really? Is that what me talking tripe is totally based upon? That's your proof that it can work, and I'm talking tripe?

Lol.

Newcastle haven't achieved anything yet. Every season one team jumps up a few places with a huge purple patch. I remember all the idiots last season going on about West Ham in the same way you are about Newcastle right now using them as an example, when they are really an exception to the rule, and the sample size is too small to know if they can maintain this run.

Imo that squad isn't good enough to keep this up for a season(just like West Ham last year), but let's see how they spend in January.

I'll also ask how did Newcastle do in their CL group this season? They are playing half the games we are right now and are 1 point better off.

People really are worrying about Newcastle. They'll start chucking money at better players now that they're showing some form too. FFP shouldn't be too much of an issue for them either for the time being. Will be interesting to see who they try for in Jan.

Are you kidding? The instability caused by Ashley turned Newcastle from a solid, well established Premier League team into a total yo-yo club. That they have done the footballing equivalent of winning the Euromillions afterwards is entirely irrelevant, all that changing of managers and lack of backing had absolutely wrecked them. In comparison our two long periods of stability under Harry and Poch are what helped turn us into a force in the league and CL regulars.
